But there were long breaks in updating and I lost track of it. Things are a bit hazy but there is some illicit drug (somehow linked to th paranormal underground?). The cop goes undercover and hooks up with a guy they think is the mob. The last chapter I remember the mob guy takes the cop to some fancy dinner and the cop's mom is there! She thinks he is wasting his potential as a cop (she raised him alone). Mob guy did not know cop and the mom were related. The mob guy thinks the cop is special (can't remember why but it may have been that h could see auras or demons). He may have been a half-blood of the demon/guardian the mob guy was.
