They stare at each other for a while and the the prince escorts him home. The prince finds he is too young to mate and must wait a few years. Fast forward a few years, and the prince has proposed. The jealous queen tells the main character that he can not conceive due to his odd coloring. While the prince is in counsel, the main character runs away to an island. He has to stay out of water because the prince can use sonar to locate him, and will drown the island to get to him. He makes some human friends on the island at almost gets caught by a mermaid collector. He eventually is found by the prince's female guard. While he is hiding from the guard (underwater) he realizes that the guard is just stalling till the prince arrives. The prince uses his solar powers to locate the main character before the main character could flee to the next island. The prince mates him (you know what i mean) while a human watches going "wtf is going on?". The main character finds out he can conceive after all and the end.
