Letoria Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I want to post a non-fiction essay/story in which names have been changed. No people other the three principal participants are named, and references to other people are unnamed. What are the rules in this case? I hold off posting until I get the right stuff. Quote
BronxWench Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Quoting right from our FAQ on disclaimers: Original non fiction-The author must state that it's a work of non fiction. They then must state that where possible, permission has been granted by the person (or people) involved in the story. If your three principal participants are fine with the essay, then I don't think there's an issue. If I'm missing something, DG will be sure to correct me. Quote
Letoria Posted June 29, 2014 Author Report Posted June 29, 2014 Oooops, sorry I was lazy and didn't do due diligence looking over the FAQs -- that's what happens at two in the morning of a night too hot to sleep. Thanks, I'll copy and paste it in the doc with the generic Disclaimer you posted for me a while back. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 There's actually an example of the generic nonfiction disclaimer posted here Quote
