In order to save them/survive, the jewel promises Sess immunity against Kagome's miko powers. He agrees, and after the battle, forces her to be his mate - rapes her. Kagome then refuses to speak to him and continues to purify his "seed" because she will never bear a child of her tormentor. At least not as long as he is cold , unfeeling, ruthless, and continues to treat her badly. She as an assistant/bodyguard speak for her. Thanks!
