redsliver Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Probably. Will it be held against me? Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Probably. But isn't there something else you'd like held against you? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 There certainly is, but she's upstairs yelling at the kids. Do you think I should go up there and help her? Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Only if you want to be a white knight and get some tonight. Do you think that would work? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Not likely tonight. But should that stop me? Quote
redsliver Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Never Isn't one success worth thirty failures? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Yes. Have you ever heard the story about Edison and the light bulb? Quote
redsliver Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 The one where he stole the patent from some college kid and then sent a bunch of goons to beat up the Jews? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 I hadn't heard that one. I was thinking more along the lines of the story that he had invented nearly 1000 different light bulbs before he came up with one that worked. Or is that just the PR story? Quote
redsliver Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 PR, Edison was smart, very smart, but almost all of his inventions were made by his staff he just claimed the patents. The attacks on Jews, specifically those that were trying to use celluloid film without paying ridiculous prices, is the reason why Hollywood is out west rather than in New York. You need an electrical engineer to look up to, you go to Tesla. Are we informed yet? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Well, I've known about and have admired the mad genius that was Tesla for many years. So I suppose so. Shall we talk about a less serious topic now? Quote
redsliver Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Are we talking electrochemical, artillery or assault here? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 I was thinking electrochemical. Would you rather talk about different kind of batteries? Quote
redsliver Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 No I'm in my element with electrochemistry. What's your element? Quote
redsliver Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Yeah, I was expecting Tungsten. Oops, should I have said gold? Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Not necessarily. Earth has a lot of gold in it - doesn't it? Quote
redsliver Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 minute amounts actually, why its so valuable. Earth's got mostly silicon, iron and nickel in it. Any of those fit you? Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Not as well as gold or silver. But you knew I was a pricey bitch - didn't you? Quote
redsliver Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 I hadn't seen any evidence of that to be honest. Did I miss the hint? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 It sounds like it. What is your favorite element? Quote
