DarkInuLord Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 What's the saddest song you've ever heard? I know, a song is sad depending on who listens to it, everyone feels different about certain lyric. Just post a song that's sad for you. For me, this is the saddest song I have on my computer. (In the form of a youtube link.) Jean-Jaqcues Burnel - We Were Lovers. Quote
StoryJunkie Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 well now, if you'd uv asked me about angsty songs, I could answer alot quicker. But sad ones...can't think of any off the bat, but come to think of it that song from FMA "Bratya" is pretty sad when you think of the story. Bratya (It's kinda long) One part bothers me though. When the song says: "Nee-ma-ya Mama, ne-znaya." It is translated as "Dear MOther, affectionate one." It really should say: "Dear Mother, we never knew you." Quote
Guest Zyx Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Well, someone said the lyrics were about cheating or something so I'm not really sure. 'Cuz lyrics like that are just lame. But this song just makes me shiver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAgOwHGgv2A Quote
cu-kid9 Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 The District Sleep Alone Tonight I dunno if it's really the saddest song...but it talks about losing a friend/girlfriend. I don't actually know many "sad" songs (prefer 'em to be rather upbeat, myself). I have a few melancholy/nostalgic songs, though. Quote
Guest Jullians Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Erm. A friend of mine told me this song is taken from a movie (City of Angels) and when he told me what every part of it means in the movie I just was so......... sad so, the Goo Goo Dalls - Iris But I dont know if it's the saddest I know :/ *** Mm.. A year ago I listen to this song and the lyric made... regression in my depression... This world will never beWhat I expected And if I don't belong Who would have guessed it I will not leave alone Everything that I own To make you feel like it's not too late It's never too late Even if I say It'll be alright Still I hear you say You want to end your life Now and again we try To just stay alive Maybe we'll turn it all around 'Cause it's not too late It's never too late No one will ever see This side reflected And if there's something wrong Who would have guessed it And I have left alone Everything that I own To make you feel like It's not too late It's never too late And Там Высоко Is a sad song too Quote
greenwizard Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 I saw your face in the morning sun oh, I thought you were there I heard your voice as the wind passed me by silently, whispering my name So many things that I wanted to say forever left untold I still remember the tears that you shed over someone else Our love could never die all I can do is cry save a little prayer for the fallen one There is a light down at memory lane slowly fading away Still holding on to the dreams torn apart I will follow my heart Our love could never die all I can do is cry save a little prayer for the fallen one Still on my own, chasing the sun of a time long ago The shade in my heart, tearing apart everything that I long for I saw your face in the morning sun oh, I thought you were there I heard your voice as the wind passed me by whispering my name Our love could never die all I can do is cry save a little prayer for the fallen one That is probably the saddest song I know. It's called 'The Fallen One' by Hammerfall. Quote
Valtristus Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Dir en Grey - Ain't Afraid to Die I'm not sure where to find the translation, but I know I'd found them somewhere... either way. Just the soundof it kills me. ;_; Quote

StoryJunkie Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 "Lithium" by Evanescence is pretty damn sad too, although tragic is more the word. Heck, I just love listening to her voice. Quote
Obsolescence Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Oh wow this is hard, I listen to a lot of "sad" music. I think if I were to do this it would be a 2 page list, but I'll put a few up that top my list. Deadsy - Better Than You Know (sadly only 30 seconds. . .) Emilie Autumn - 306 A Perfect Circle - The Noose Skold - Void Tori Amos - The Beekeeper Zeromancer - Germany Though the winners have to be: Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been Skold - All Dies Short list? Ugh, sorry for the length, I tried to limit it Quote
shinigamiinochi Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 After watching scar tissue a hundred times and having a 8,000+ song list, I could list hundreds of sad songs. Scar Tissue is one of those animes that you could hear the song on the radio and not be affected, but after seeing it used in the show, every time you hear it, you'll start bawling. From scar tissue, there's songs like 'moonlight shadow' 'your love song' and even 'kissing you' which is one of those songs that doesn't sound sad, but was beautifully done. Still, my overall favorite sad song will have to be 'This Love' by Angela aki. I heard someone say “If there is love, there’s peace” and one may agree with that, or not Whenever I was in pain you’d hold me closely And it was in the warmth of those arms that I felt peace But then you stopped talking to me and I closed off my heart, this love was torn apart *This time I don’t let go off my heart Because the power of belief will set love free When you helped me as a friend I imagined our future together And though I saw happiness in store for us I did’t see my own issues Though our we said our promises would be our compass we lost sight of the direction this love was going in **Instead of waiting for a miracle I want you to hold onto my hand Because the power of belief will set me free You don’t have to fear this love You don’t have to fear this love, this love *Repeat **Repeat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC8ghOpRn8o Angela Aki is my goddess There is also 'Room of angel' and 'Your Rain' from Silent Hill 4. DodgeSuperBee Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 ~ "Patches" (Dickie Lee's) That one gets my vote! Talk about one tragedy after another befalling the poor kid. Quote
ChibiUkon Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I would have to say 'Memories' by Within Temptation is the saddest song I know Quote
Guest Zyx Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I would have to say 'Memories' by Within Temptation is the saddest song I know Within Temptation sucks nowadays... back in the days of Ice Queen and Mother Earth they were okay I guess XD Still In Flames - Evil In A Closet for me Quote
Bargle5 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Four that always struck me as being very sad: "Is She Really Going Out With Him" Joe Jackson "Husbands and Wives" Roger Miller (Someone covered this in the past few years.) "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" Kenny Rogers and the First Edition "With Pen in Hand" Vikki Carr or Bobby Goldsboro Quote
Guest skittles08 Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Well there are a lot of songs that get me emotional but the song that really gets me would have to be "Hello" by Evanescence. It sort of sums up how I feel sometimes. Quote
Guest Rosemarius Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Two of the saddest songs ever are, IMO, PIERROT THE CLOWN by Placebo Leave me dreaming on the bed See you right back here tomorrow for the next round Keep this scene inside your head As the bruises turn to yellow The swelling goes down And if you're ever around In the city or the suburbs of this town Be sure to come around I'll be wallowing in sorrow Wearing a frown Like Pierrot the Clown Saw you crashing round the bay Never seen you act so shallow Or look so brown Remember all the things you'd say How your promises rang hollow As you threw me to the ground And if you're ever around In the backstreets or the alleys of this town Be sure to come around I'll be wallowing in pity And wearing a frown Like Pierrot the Clown When I dream I dream of your lips When I dream I dream of your kiss When I dream I dream of your fists Your fists... Your fists Leave me bleeding on the bed See you right back here tomorrow for the next round Keep this scene inside your head As the bruises turn to yellow The swelling goes down And if you're ever around In the city or the suburbs of this town Be sure to come around I'll be wallowing in sorrow And wearing a frown Like Pierrot the Clown Like Pierrot the Clown Like Pierrot the Clown Like Pierrot the Clown Like Pierrot the Clown It's just really sad... and DADDY by KORN Mother please forgive me I just had to get out all my pain and suffering Now that I am done, remember I will always love you I'm your son Little child, looking so pretty Come out and play, I'll be your daddy Innocent child, looking so sweet A rape in my eyes and on your flesh I'll eat You've raped! I feel dirty It hurt! As a child Tied down! That's a good boy And fucked! Your own child I scream! No one hears me It hurt! I'm not a liar My God! Saw you watching Mommy why?! Your own child It's alright I didn't touch you there Mama said she didn't care I didn't touch you there That's why mama stopped and stared I fucking hate you! Mother fucker! Mother Fucker! I fucking hate you! Fuck You! You son of a bitch, you fucking ruined my life! I wanted to die! I'm sick of it, mother fucker . . . oh oh Why'd you fuck'n do it to me? I Hate You! I Fuck'n Hate You! I Hate You! Why?! I Hate You! This one also scares me shitless everytime I hear it Youtube for listening to them: Quote
