I'll admit it that I pretty much have no idea when to use commas, let along semi-colons and the like. I remember getting papers back from teachers with the corrections written in but never explaining the reason why one would be used over the other. I do refer to a basic guide that I found online but that does not appear to be enough to satisfy readers. Is this something I would request a Beta for? I just did a Google search to see if there was a site that would work, and the first link that showed up had links for different punctuation marks, for grammar, for sentence structure, and examples listed under each of the various rules I saw.
