Guest Nyouko Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I am logged in on the Aff Community Forums but I can't log in on the stories site. I have tried using my username and my email. I have also tried to use the password reset but it said that I may have used the email more than once to get more than one account. So what do I do? Quote
BronxWench Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Can you provide us with the pen name you use on the archive? This is a public forum, so please DO NOT post passwords or email addresses. Quote
BronxWench Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Okay, I've checked and there are two issues. The first is that your forum profile is showing a different archive user id than what I am showing in our database. You did have a duplicate account at one point, so I am guessing the UID you have on your forum profile is the one that was merged. The other issue is that you have not yet validated for the new code, which is why you can't log in to the archives. These are two separate registrations, and all users need to revalidate. This is what you need to do: FIRST: Use this link to help you clear your cache and cookies, You MUST clear the old cookies, or this will not work. SECOND: If your password is less than 8 characters, you will need to reset it. Use this link to reset your password. You MUST use the email account that you used to create your archive account. THIRD: Use this link to log in with the new code. Please follow the steps carefully. You will be sent a validation email, and you will need to click on the link in that email as part of this process. If it doesn't appear in your Inbox, check your Junk or Spam folders. Quote
Guest Nyouko Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 It still says this- The e-mail you provided may not be registered or is registerd multiple times, please contact support or try registering when I try to reset my password. Quote
BronxWench Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 If you are using Internet Explorer or MSN as your web browser, try restarting your computer. Those browsers actually don't shut down until the computer does, so they never clear properly until you have restarted. Quote
BronxWench Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 My pleasure! Is everything working again for you? Quote
