I read this so long ago and I have no idea what site it is on. Somehow, Hermione is banished or leaves the WW to live in the Muggle World. She buys and remodels an orphanage where magical children were neglected/died years and years ago. Lucius sister was sent there for being a squib and died. She sees him visiting her grave and eventually they start talking. Hermione does research and publishing a book on how the certain potions affected fertility and magical talent, which explains why there are so few children from death eater families.
