A few nomads come to their house looking to pick a fight with "The Major." (no one knows that Jasper is the Major). Jasper sneaks around behind them and has some comment to make and then the nomads are killed. I don't remember how or why Bella ends up there, but she hides when more nomads come around for them. At the end, more nomads come looking for "the Major" but Peter & Char tell them that the Major is dead. Bella comes out and fights them because she's "The Major's Mate." I read this on fanfiction.net but I cannot find it anywhere now. And I've got through the summaries and first few chapters of almost every one that sounds close. If anyone can point me in the right direction (or something close!) I'd very much appreciate it. Quote
