A few nomads come to their house looking to pick a fight with "The Major." (no one knows that Jasper is the Major). Jasper sneaks around behind them and has some comment to make and then the nomads are killed. I don't remember how or why Bella ends up there, but she hides when more nomads come around for them. At the end, more nomads come looking for "the Major" but Peter & Char tell them that the Major is dead. Bella comes out and fights them because she's "The Major's Mate." I read this on fanfiction.net but I cannot find it anywhere now. And I've got through the summaries and first few chapters of almost every one that sounds close.
