Dollar General Homocide in Killeen, TX

A police officer stopped at a Dollar General store at about 8:23 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Stan Schleuter Boulevard in Killeen when she noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot, Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

This is scary, considering I work in a Dollar General here in Kansas. It's horrible, soooo many Dollar General's have been robbed, and people either killed or injured severely!

What is wrong with some people, DG isn't exactly a high dollar business, so why rob them?

When my mom goes to the dollar store, she ends up buying around $50 worth of stuff because OMGZ its so cheap!!!.

Many people have this mindset when it comes to shopping, so despite the fact that the products are cheap, dollar stores may actually have more money in the register than department stores. Same goes for convenience stores as opposed to grocery stores.

What surprises me is the timing of the robbery. I can see why someone would want to rob a dollar store, but I don't see why they'd inflict any violence in the process. Sure, they'll wave a gun around, but it's not like they'd want to use it, and they're more likely to pick a time when no one but an employee is present. Less fuss, less muss.

Well it's kind of like when the one in my hometown, Leavenworth, got robbed (i drive to Lansing for work) the kids. I use the terms kids because they were like fifteen! Well they went in a with a damn toy gun, and the cashier on duty grabbed the 'gun' from him and though they got the money on the way the kids freakin tripped over a TENT! the box was sitting near the door so the kid tripped and left with nothing because he had dropped all the cash on the ground!

Funnier is, my sister when she went to court because of her grand-daughter she saw the kid who robbed it and even said he only look maybe fifteen!
