quamp
Story here TOKYO (Reuters) - Twenty-six smoking toilets, and three more on fire, put a Japanese toilet maker in the hot seat on Monday. Toto Ltd., known for its high-tech toilets with bidets that have blow-drying, air purification and seat-warming functions, apologized to consumers and offered free checks and repairs after some of its toilets with bidets and heated seats sent up smoke and three caught fire. Finding a toilet on fire can be a very burning experience. Can you imagine suddenly finding the toilet you're sitting on fire? "We are offering free checks and repairs if needed to anybody who owns these models," a company spokesman said. I think I'd rather have a cold seat than have it catch fire. What about you? Guest Alien Pirate Pixagi
Cold seat, definitely. That is... odd... Blow drying bidet... that just seems a tad much, no?
Guest echtrae
The Japanese are really big on personal hygiene. Toilets are a huge industry there.
DarkCabaret
But still ... I'd much rather go in the middle of the night and sit on a freezing toilet seat than sit on fire! Then again if I want to seat warm I'll make my mom go before me. LOL!
quamp
Guess what? It's not just one company now... Story here
DarkCabaret
Most funny ..... you would think people would beware where they pee. I mean I hate my toilet seat because it's off center but ..... I prefer it that way over having a ton of gadgets and gizmo's attached to it.
