It takes place during a ninja war and Sakura is sent to the front lines to be a medic. She runs into Kakashi at some point and they rekindle a friendship, which later develops into a relationship. I'm not sure, but I think Lee and/or Naruto dies, Sasuke tries to force his feelings upon Sakura. Spoiler - Kakashi dies towards the end, Sakura is pregnant with his child. Genma takes care of her and plays as a surrogate father for the child. Honestly, I can't remember a whole lot from the fanfic. It had lengthy chapters, at least more than twelve. I've hunted for many hours trying to re-find it, but I've had no success.
