Riku leaves twilight town after various events and eventually ends up staying at Hollow Bastion with Maleficent. She uses his relationship with Kairi and Sora against him to try to control him, while also imbueing him with dark powers. At this point Sephiroth grudgignly agrees to help teach Riku to control these new powers and Ansem's being a creeper (as usual) heh. The fic was not completed, I believe that last couple of chapters included Riku in a near-death state in Halloween town and some Sephiroth/Cloud drama with a bit of Aerith being a busy-body.
