Story here

SAN ANTONIO - An Air Force staff sergeant who posed nude for Playboy magazine has been relieved of her duties while the military investigates, officials said Thursday.

Never you mind there have been TONS of pictures circulating showing military men reading copies of Playboy. Some of them are even generals. This goes as far back as the magazine's first issue, no less.

"This staff sergeant's alleged action does not meet the high standards we expect of our airmen, nor does it comply with the Air Force's core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all we do," Oscar Balladares, spokesman for Lackland Air Force Base, said in a statement.

I could rant for hours about all the alleged sexual harassment and abuses that the Air Force has done, but I'll spare you that.

"Of what I did, nothing is wrong, so I didn't anticipate anything, of course," Manhart, 30, told The Associated Press. "I didn't do anything wrong, so I didn't think it would be a major issue."

I hope she files a lawsuit... the evidence would be nice to see.

Some people are just no fun at all... dry.gif

She'll probably get off of the charges, as long as her uniform wasn't involved. This has happened several times, and the Armed Forces investigate just to make sure they still have their honor.

Well, at least she's nor a Marine. They're even harder on those who are guilty of any kind of 'moral turpitude'. I saw that they were getting het up because there's a website that shows some Marines in gay porno movies. Straght guys, mind you; they did it for the money I guess, just like aloty of mostly straight American male porn stars will do gay porn because the money is better. Of course, this could be why I hate American made gay porn so much...the guys won't practically touch each other. They'd have sex from across the room if they could somehow figure out a way to do it

Yea... this reminds me of another story where the Marines forced a phone sex line to fire a former marine who was working for them... Last I heard, his case was still in court.

In the case of the Air Force Staff Sergeant, she was wearing her uniform in the pictures in which she posed for PlayBoy. There is a regulation that specifically prohibits a service member from wearing his/her uniform or representing the military in a manner that is not approved of by the military.

I don't know about the generals that were posing reading the magazine, but I can say that if they were to do it now, they should be brought up on charges too.

As for her saying that she didn't know that she was doing anything wrong, that is a blatant lie. Since she is a Staff Sergeant, she has passed a written test on the general regulations for the Air Force of which the one I mentioned above is one. I guess people will try anything once.

ROFL

That is a good point. I had forgotten what they had looked like when I was in. biggrin.gif

Though, I'm sure airbrushing probably plays a big role in the photos. wink.gif

stupid playboy photographers, using the uniform!

well, I guess sales are up. She better get a fair share. That guy in the Playboy Mansion has more than enough money. I bet she doesn't profit from it in any way, but they sure as hell do.

Now, now, SJ, Hef's a pretty generous guy, far as I know, and Playboy is pretty good about making offers to the people who grace its pages. ... No, I'm not a propaganda officer.
