BronxWench Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Nastrandir: Shayla...your depiction of her is so wonderfully vivid, and her devotion to Daeghun is so transparently beautiful. Knowing what will happen to them, and seeing them so happy together is terribly bittersweet. And yet she's also not just eye-candy, or a foil for Esmerelle, as her info-gathering proves - she's useful, and rather astute, and I think that fits in terms of Daeghun, as well - he'd be interested in her wits almost moreso than her beauty and her effervescence, I think. Esmerelle's talk with Myrthin was wonderful, and very real. Such an understandable fear, to worry about being alone, and lovely to see emotion in Myrthin. He's not simply the gruff dwarven drinking buddy, he's also very much her friend. Just wonderful Thank you, as always! I'm glad that my characters come off as more than just foils for the protagonist, since it really should be about all of them. None of us exist in a vacuum, after all! I think we're in agreement on that, though, since you're excellent at developing your companions and bringing out their full personalities! Quote
