  1. *pokes head in* I'm new. *waves* I'm also intrigued/interested. If it starts up again, I'm probably in. Buuut I gots a few questions. Well, a question. We would have two universes to play around in, at least at first. But our OCs could be from any fandom, just . . . on Earth Prime? Did I get that right? As a side note, one of the rules you might want to have, especially if we'll be writing stories with other people's characters, is not a reincarnation rule, but rather saying that you can't kill off another writer's character without their permission. If two writers have their characters in a fight, they can decide between themselves how it ends, but without an agreement, no killin.
  2. Ummm . . . under all sodomy laws - which are supposed to define sexual "normalcy" - oral sex is also considered to be not normal. So blowjobs are ALSO what's wrong with the world today, by your definition. *chortle* Also means they suck, lol. Also, "normal" is totally subjective, so saying that any type of sexual behavior is "not normal" just means that you shouldn't personally do it. I believe that whatever people want to do behind closed doors is their business, as long as they aren't, you know, filming it and putting up on the internet. *shrug* Just my $0.02
  3. *waves* Hi, I'm angeicmar. I'm almost 25 (less than a week!), and I'm a writer. Well, let me specific that up for you. I'm an aspiring screenwriter, who passes her time writing adult fanfics and SRPs instead of finishing screenplays to send to an agent (I have a suspicion that sending writing to an agent is on the same level as interviewing for jobs - the potential for soul-crushing disappointment and all). I'm in a long-distance relationship, and happy with my boyfriend, if not with the distance. I like writing, reading (fantasy, mainly, but I also have a strange passion for mystery novels), Bleach, Shin Chan, Project Runway, crocheting, sewing, WoW, and other video games. I don't hate yaoi/slash, but it's nothing that I see myself writing (what can I say, I'm a selfish girl, and it spills into my writing: If there are two penises in a room with me, I expect to have something to do with them). I'm pretty much an open book, and tend to go on tangents frequently. If you've got questions, or whatever, let me know
  4. I agree that dry ice is probably the best choice. Although, depending on the stable's set-up and modernity, there might be a place where someone could heat up any metal, like a small forge for shoeing, or whatever. And there are LOTS of chemicals that would leave a burn, but I don't know how many would be in a stable. Undiluted lye would, for example.
  5. I don't think so. I write about a lot of things I've never personally done - I've never been with another woman, I've never had anal sex, etc - and the only reason that first-hand experience might be helpful is that I know I've hit miscues in some of those topics. But I'm not that much of a perfectionist, so it doesn't bother me. There are some stories I've read where I wonder if the author has ever looked at a naked person before, just because they're so . . . strange, but that's a personal thing.
  6. The only one of the few vocabulary turn-offs I have is something that I've seen more than once, and usually from writers who don't have English as their first language, so I try not to get bent out of shape about it. Poop-chute/shoot. It grates. Sets my teeth on edge. Makes me cringe. Butthole is also a word that bothers me, but mainly cause it makes me giggle. I don't mind pussy or cunt, provided they aren't used as insults. And really, when I'm having sex, it turns me on to hear my boyfriend talk about my vagina in those terms. But, like so many things, this kind of thing is subjective.
  7. Well, depending on what sort of income you need/want, there are a few choices open. A lot of magazines take short fiction submissions, and you don't need an agent for that. Just write something that fits a given mag and send it in with a letter telling them about your writing abilities and awards (if any), and thanking them for their consideration. You might be able to get a freelance job editing for magazines or whatever, that would be able to be done at home, depending on what you're going to school for. Not quite the same as writing, but it would be a foot in the door and income. But you may need to get a job that'll fill in dry spells. Retail isn't the only choice - you could get a job at an office, or as a IT person, or whatever you're talented at. No matter what you wind up doing to fill in the gaps, getting a job writing is a lot of work. While half the population in positions of power can't spell or write a coherent paragraph, people who can get the short end of the stick. Good luck B)
  8. A quick, limited compendium of words for sex (hehe, my first post ever) Banging: Very rhythmic, pretty hard thrusts. Like pounding, can cause squeaking bedsprings. Bonin(g): More amusing than the other words/phrases. May inspire giggles in readership. Fuck: Typically hot, sweaty, and involving grunts. My preferred form of sex. Having sex: When people walk in on a couple (or more) doing any of the other types of sex, this is how they report it to other people. "I saw John and Jane . . . having sex!" Humping: Less thrusting, more . . .well, humping. Make love: Soft, romantic sex. Sweet, usually done by candle light. Pounding: Similar to screwing, very forceful and usually resulting in squeaks/grunts/other noises from the reciever. Can also cause squeaking bedsprings and banging headboards. Screwing: Like fucking, but a little rougher, suitable for kitchen floors and public restrooms.
