I believe that a Beta and their Author should be a team. The Author has the idea and puts it down and the Beta is responsible, not only for checking spelling and grammar, but polishing the edges, helping make the story the best it can be. A Beta needs to be honest, helping their Author when something doesn't work, pointing out awkward sentences. Ideally, a Beta and an Author will form a bond and inspire each other. A Beta can become a Muse, if you will.
I'm willing to work with Authors and help them make their stories better, but my Authors need to be willing to accept constructive crit. I'm even willing to completely tear a story apart and put it back together if that's what we decide is needed. So if you contact me, be sure to tell me just how much help you're looking for. I'm not here to bash Author's self-esteem down.

The story title is The day love found me.
There won't be any sex for several chapters, about ten to fifteen chapters.
I have seven chapters ready to be beta read.
I have problems with grammar, sentence structure and I tend to be wordy at times.
I'm trying my best to make this story my best.
I can send the fic to you by RTF by e-mail either in chapter format or the entire story.
Right now, the story is rated PG13, but the overall rating is NC-18.
I have an original female character who will grow up alongside Sesshomaru and later they end up getting together. Yes, there will be at least two fights that they will do against each other, one when he's a young pup and when he's older.
If anyone can help me with being my beta reader, I would like that very much.

Yes, Melrick, it means Amy has been officially kicked out of being site owner, admin but now she is only a member of this site. She has no control over what happens on this site any longer. All she is now is a member.
We no longer have to hear her whine about her life or see her demand donations from the members again. She is ousted for good.
Apollo is back for good and everyone can thank me for bringing her back. I still had Apollo's phone number from when I was co-owner with her and I called her about a week ago tonight and told her everything that has transpired with the site and it was only yesterday, she talked with Greg at Nexcess and regained ownership over Adultfanfiction from Amy.
Apollo is here for good and I am so glad!

In one of my stories, I have my main male character who was dumped by his girlfriend over a year and a month ago, trying to figure out how to flirt with this one girl. He's totally unsure of how to go about it without being an idiot. He has no knowledge of how to flirt and his older brother is a known flirt and womanizer, he doesn't want to ask him for advice as he probably would tell the girl he's interested in that he's interested in her.
Where would he go to get advice for his friends who would have helped him are dead - would a bar be a good idea for him to go and talk to the bartender or should he just come right out and tell her that he's interested in her as a girlfriend and see where it takes them?
And here's the thing, I never flirted before so I am totally new to this.

Is there any fans here on the forum?
I think my story that I am doing in the DMC games is probably the only M/F there is there.
I got into the fiction side of the game by my sissy Rhonda. I do not have the game nor have I yet played it. But hopefully, one day I'll be able to play it.

I have stalled on my story Twilight: The new friend and I need someone to help co-write or let me know where I went off at.
I have about 13 chapters posted on AFF but I have at least three more not posted.
I'm on AIM nightly and sometimes during the day.

The story deals with a new 'person' moving next door to the Cullens, she's not what you expect her to be. There is no Bella/Edward going on. There will be character deaths and new female characters coming in. The possiblity of the Voltari showing up is there. The Wolf Pack is there too on friendly terms with the Cullens.

My sister and I were talking about fandoms that cannot realistically work out with another fandom.
Like for example: Harry Potter and Twilight. My sister talked about a girl who was trying to write a Hermione becoming a Vampire and still being friends with Remus Lupin. My sis got her to back off from that idea as Werewolves are the sole creature that could kill a Vampire and there is no way that Lupin would permit Hermione to live if she was a Vampire.
And another fandom pairing that is not possible at all: Bleach and Harry Potter. Soul reapers are like ghosts, they cannot be seen unless you have the ability to see ghosts which I doubt any of the characters in Harry Potter books can see. The very same girl that my sister got to back away doing a HP/Twilight crossover tried to do it with Bleach/HP.
So what other fandoms you have seen that shouldn't have even been paired up with another fandom?

I'm asked to write a synopsis of The Storyteller's tale, my original story that I'm writing for the past few years and send the first three chapters of the story to an agent.
I was always told that a synopsis should not be no more than half of a page and yet I see synopsis that are over two pages.
The agent didn't state how many pages they want for the sysnopsis, so should I just go with two pages and double space it or go for a page and one line space?
Or should I just wing the whole thing and give the agent one page sysnopsis and hope for the best or go full out and do two pages long or longer?

My mom and I have raised garden beds, which we had three of the five beds tilled and then we planted tomatos and lettuce and other herbs in one bed.
Well, today our girl who does our house went to the garden to till the two beds that was untilled for us. She had the mantis tiller. I was there looking at our one inch tall lettuce in our far bed and headed to do the horses and went inside. Never once saying anything because we assumed she remembered that she had tilled that bed before we planted it.
I was in the bathroom when this happened. I heard the tiller going again after a few minutes pause. I finished up and headed to the window and I heard the tiller going but she was missing which meant only one thing - the lettuces were being tilled in. I went racing outside yelling for her to stop but it was too late. Everything was tilled under.
And we had started off so late this year and now this! It will be summer by the time we get any lettuces up! Within two weeks from now, we would have been feasting on home grown lettuces!
But not now! And all of our hard work in planting the seeds and coaxing them to grow has taken us back to bloody square one. We're planting our second set of seeds which we would have done when this set of seeds finished with their growth.
I think the next time we do something like this, I'm going to get a marker for the lettuces up so this doesn't happen again. We thought she would ask us if we wanted that last bed tilled before doing that. But she didn't and we're now back to square one.

I'm actually able to go to one computer to another with my key and be able to open up my stories and work on them without worry.

I would have a list of rules to be obeyed by all members.
Lets say for example set of rules.
1. Please be polite. In all things including flame wars that may come up.
2. Please no chatspeak. No C U l8tr posts. We will moderate all users at first. If we see a chatspeak post, that poster will be asked to repost their post without the chatspeak after it is changed to be proper speech, the person's post shall go through till the person no longer does their posts in chatspeak.
3. Please state the title, author(your name), summary, author's notes, and a disclaimer to your original or fanfiction stories. It helps keep everyone honest about their work.
4. Golden rule, treat others like you want to be treated.
5. Have fun.
6. Those people who will not obey the rules, will be removed.
That usually is all the rules you basically need up and people will respect those rules. Most of the time, the trolls will love to wrangle everyone's nerves.
