    Any reasonable employer would be a bit understanding, but yeah, don’t really want to burn it at a high rate in the beginning.  (I’m in the opposite issue, having to use my vacation before that use-or-lose point )

    I’m self-employed, and my employer is a total bitch. I do not get vacation. I just run away for a couple of weekends, and leave the daft one home with the spawn, and the corgi.

    Y'know, that reset vacation balance has figured high in my thoughts--wow, right before holidays !  
    Slight problem with the company kinda burning down behind me—sooo, I took the jump.

    Only a hearse should have dead-people smell!  (That’s the ticket, buy a hearse, cause I heard they’re a hoot to park outside the emergency at the local hospital.)

    Seriously, it’s looking better and better. Everything I wanted to look at was gone, except for one car, which didn’t have a roof rack and smelled like something had died in it. With under 9,000 miles, it should NOT smell that bad unless the previous owner was a sweet little old serial killer who only dismembered victims on Sunday, after church services were ended… Yeah, I’ll pass on the dead person special.

    That’s terrible !  Sorry to hear--I’m so old I can remember when if the whole car was dead it was just the battery, when winter was starting up and the battery hit 4 years old.

    That’s terrible !  Sorry to hear--I’m so old I can remember when if the whole car was dead it was just the battery, when winter was starting up and the battery hit 4 years old.
