Yes. Truly a test of skill to see which Bob is capable of Bobbing for apples the best. Usually around Boboween. Or All Bob’s eve. Many casualties can result as many Bobs try to out bob one another. Same for Bobmas.
Santa Bob typically unleashes Krampus Bob on foolish Bobs bobsledding around this time. Survivors get gifts. -Other Bob

Bobbing for apples is a favourite autumn pastime in the realm of Bob.  During winter, it's more commonly the bob sled.

Word choice as in are you disguising things. Are events transpiring openly or is there more going on that what’s readily being presented on the surface. Context can paint a very different picture of whats going on. A single well placed clue can do more than a ton of less subtle hints. How are you disgusing things if things are not as they appear.
Ex: It seemed as though a trick of light but the ruby seemed to have an inner fire all its own for an instant. (A set up that the ruby isn't normal)
Ex: Is it really the ticking of a clock or is it a timer steadily ticking down? What kind of tick is it? Is it a tick tock. or is it a steady tick tick tick… BOOM
Ex: Molly felt uneasy being locked in this room. The grand father clock’s ominous ticking didn’t seem quite right it was as if the ticking wasn’t perfectly synched.
The obviousness of the sudden lack of sound brought attention to its sudden absence.
“Oh shi-” Molly didn’t have time to finish as the room upended in a sudden conflagration.
Bringing attention to certain details or lack of details. Etc..

Bobageddon  happened. The day everyone became Bob or perhaps catastrophic devastation as a result of every non-Bob simultaneously exiting reality. Only Bob Prime remembers the Pre Bob times. Perhaps it was both. The Bob world is too different from the world it was.
With the Bobwars finally coming to a close as the Bob Hegemony and the Bob Sovereignty destroyed perhaps the Confederacy of Bob will have a chance at peace. Even as the alliance of independent kingdoms of Bob struggles to reclaim what was lost.
I shall do my best to chronicle the events of Post Bobageddon. On my sacred honor

The way you described the stories to me. That’s your script. There was plenty of drama and emotion in it – and thats how most oral storytelling works, like a story around a campfire. You’d just need to edit it a little then read it out.

I wish it just depended on the plot for me, @SirGeneralSir. I admire that. For me, though, I can be super inspired for a plot in a genre I’m not comfortable in, and everything I write will feel not-good-enough so it turns into a chore to write out.
@Melrick I looove writing erotica. It’s funny, because I used to hate it, but now I love writing sex scenes. In my most recent stories, the sex scenes were the easy parts to make fun and interesting and the other stuff was tough lol. I have been trying to step away from erotica though because I was hoping to write something that I could show my friends and family, but that’s just not as fun, lol.

I think a lot of writers feel this way. Like it’s a little easier to say you write just for writing itself and don’t require feedback if you’re getting ample feedback, you know? Like rich and comfortable middle-class people saying money doesn’t buy happiness. Some writers, of course, might be perfectly happy just writing without feedback, but I think the majority are right there with you. And some are like me. I don’t write a lot. But I looove writing. And even though I love writing, and don’t feel like it’s a chore most of the time, I still write to be heard.
I won’t mention graphic novels again… But I got a new idea! Podcasts! You should totally tell your stories that way!

What genres/categories do you play in?
Mostly fantasy. I think its called low fantasy? Like more realistic fantasy I mean. And I like historically inspired stuff. I also dabbed a bit  into scifi. And of course u gotta have some romance and erotica mixed in all of that! I did write a few supernatural, and kinda horror-ish stories in the past but I just don't find it very interesting currently.
    What genres/categories do you avoid?
Anything that requires too much research. Writing is already too much work! And I'm a lazy cunt so yeah…
I do have a love for history and find a lot of inspiration from it but the idea of writing in an actual historical setting doesn't appeal to me much. I guess that I'm kinda intimidated by all of the research and lack of freedom. That being said I wouldn't rule it out completely, maybe one day I feel confident to try.
I also avoid any modern day slice of life. I guess it feels to real and boring for my taste.
And honestly idk if I will ever write anything without romance or sex. That doesn't really mean I write romance/erotica, I just like to combine it with fantasy for example.
    Why?
Well I think I explained myself pretty much. But I guess I could say a bit about why I like fantasy. I like to worlbuild and I like an environment where I have complete freedom to make whatever type of shit I want. Its pretty fucking awesome and u can get creative. But sometimes it is kinda tiresome that u have to do some things from scratch and with a detail obsessed nitpicker like me things can get ugly and take forever.

I'm really glad you cleared that up for me...  I usually tend to be a little gullible... Haha!
Like I already mentioned, I'm also on gay authors and the fourms over there are crazy! I offended someone right off the bat because I didn't realize they had some sort of Master title and that they are ALSO a cop in real life or something... Yep. This dude is totally a COP  so everyone on the fourms over there respects this guy and they all suck his d**k!!!!
@sweetmamajamahad some issues there too... They're just really unfriendly to newcomers... I'm not getting the same feeling here thou. This fourm really shines, you guys have an amazing community of writers gathered here!
Thanks for all the cool legal answers though. That was informative and I feel a little less scared. Your right, you kind of have to get used to the idea that some people will steal at all costs. Hell, I pirate things off the web from time to time.... Anyways, thanks. it's all good info to know.

That’s why I like AFF so much too. Like with all the fucked up things I’ve read here, I’ve never genuinely thought “this person has stray cat carcasses under their bed.” I like to think if I read something a real psychopath has written, I’d instinctively know (I’m probably wrong, but I trust my instincts anyway.) But the more twisted your writing, the more human and relatable you seem. The more disturbing your writing, the more I admire you. (I didn’t glance in @JayDee’s direction there, I swear.)

Maybe I’m weird, but super vanilla stuff where there’s a lot of overt romance and serenading and “I love you so much let me toss flower petals all over your squishy bits while you act super coy and/or helpless” creeps me out way more than tentacle porn and zombie rape.

That's ADORABLE @Keltiel!!!! Omg! Now I'm imaging you and your ex laughing while you're tied up in crazy bondage or something!!! Then he cracks the whip and PLAY TIMES OVER! Lol sorry, I'm easily amused
Also, I really appreciate your assessment of AFF. I think you're right, this place, the fourm especially, is populated with people you can *talk* to. I'm feeling comfortable here . I think the creepy stories I'm referring to (which aren't even posted here) and which MAY in fact be written by psychos,  are the peeps I'm afraid to meet :-P But you never know, I was afraid to meet ya'll and you guys are turning out to be... Awesome!!!

It’s kind of funny because some of my partner’s previous coworkers were like “I bet [Keltiel] is super vanilla in bed.”. He came home and told me and we had a big laugh about it because we’ve roleplayed way worse things than I’ve written on here so far. But I feel like, for the most part, the people who write on AFF are just everyday people who, in reality, would never indulge in the things they write about. I think that's why I like AFF so much, it's a place where you can read or write about your wildest thoughts or fantasies without (much) judgement. Sure, there are probably a small few who are legitimately… “troubled” but that’s true of any population.

Hey @CL Mustafic You did in fact answer all my questions… I did think The Wall of Shame was going to be automatic. We’re all humans right  I was just imagining Bots deleting everything and I was gonna be gone or something and then you guys will look at me like a criminal. I always assume the worst… I’m going to go ahead and follow you…. I have lots of questions but the thing is I get it answered once and if I’m still confused, I just assume that means I’m dumb and I have to be punished by learning the hard way, like feed me to the wolfs, I wasn’t listening hard enough the first time  Thanks a lot… I do in fact appreciate it. Everything will be peachy keen!

Dude, I just got scared. I was like. Cait! You’ve been warned! The clock starts NOW! Figure it out, dummy! I totally understand about the social cues in text… That’s exactly what I’m talking about! Are other people on FB, is there a group or something? I’m talking to @Tcr daily, and @CloverReef and @sweetmamajama quite a bit as well. I just been really neat talking to writers… I avoid my ‘real life’ FB friends cuz I’m super tired of talking about their vacations and their new babies and shit. Lol. I just want to ask about stuff like this… I was gonna talk to cloverreef today in private, but you guys were like FRIENDS  and now I’m just gonna tell her about the awesome help I got, even though I freaked out like my usually crazy self

I’m not a writer, but I will tell you as a reader, that I’ve noticed that often the underappreciated stories are the superior works.  I don’t get that at all.  Meaning I don’t get WHY the better works aren’t as appreciated as they SHOULD be.

    Yeah! I love this post!!!
When you write, do you ever feel self conscious about it?
YES!!! I have to agree with @BronxWench. My upbringing wasn’t hellish or anything, but I’ve suffered a lot of social anxiety and had a lot of pressure at home to succeed. The parents put me through college and I had no clue what I wanted to do. But yes I did! I wanted to write! I’ve been hiding and covering up my true passion for years and now that I’m finally telling people about what I do all day in Microsoft Word, they….. want to see what I’m working on. I’m afraid honestly, I don’t know how honest I should be about what I write. I just don’t want automatic rejection… Thank god for the internet and for the specific tags, so that people can find what they want and stay away from stuff they don’t. It’s not that easy in real life.
Do you feel like maybe you are giving away too much?
Yes, all the time. But I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily. You can add realism to your stories and possibly connect with readers if you write from the heart. Are you willing to bleed for your work? Lol
People go through all sorts of changes in their life. If you are the same person at 20,30 and 40, you are doing it wrong.
Yep! I’ve definitely changed. I’m still in my 20s, but I’ve already seen significant changes in both myself and writing. I hid a lot as a teenager. I was scared of people. I still am today in my late 20s, but I HAVE to interact with people on a daily basis now. I put some of the more interesting occurrences I have in writing, or they are inspired by real things I’ve gone through. I can’t wait to change more as a person and see it reflect in my writing. Yeah, I’m being optimistic, but so what! Yay! Change is good!
Do you feel like there are lines that shouldn't be crossed?
Honestly… I dunno. I hate censorship… as long as the person reading isn’t mentally disturbed, I don’t see any topics that couldn’t somehow be put into writing… Hate speech, like @CloverReef mentioned, is hate speech. We’re talking fiction, right? I wouldn’t mind reading a fictional story about the person who wrote that hate speech thou, because as an eternal student of psychology, I’m very interested to know why and how he came to possess those distorted views.
    Can you go too far?
Nope! I think I could put a spin on any topic. I swear, I’m a little insane myself. The deeper I see into the mind of protagonist, the more understanding I have for them (not forgiveness, ok! understanding) I believe in Karma… It’s a hideous crime to murder living things and to steal and manipulate and to rape and molest children. Shit like that is definitely wrong, blah blah blah, but we all know that already. I like to get into the minds of different people, see what they see, walk in their shoes, because otherwise, I only know my perspective and that’s boring. That’s why we read. Live a little! See what’s on the other side :-P Why does everything have to be censored and safe? I don’t like it. I hate censorship

Okay <cracks fingers>, let’s get started.  <Cowers in corner> Do I have to let people know about my writing process?  Is it done?
When you write, do you ever feel self conscious about it?
To be honest, I doubt that anyone ever experiences a clean lack of self-conscious.  Always something creeps into the words.  Worries that something’s not right, not perfect, that it needs this, or that one forget something.  In my case, there’s a lot of questions about ‘Is this good enough’ (...CR can definitely attest to the levels of self-doubt that flows in), which then leads to, ‘is there too much of me in there’.  Am I rambling and not answering the question?  Maybe I am...
Do you feel like maybe you are giving away too much?
Always.  There’s that nagging sensation that eats away, causes doubts…  CR’s been good at slapping me upside the head and reminding me when I’ve given too much away (like a good Beta), although I do see it even when I’m not having her Beta.
People go through all sorts of changes in their life. If you are the same person at 20,30 and 40, you are doing it wrong.
Well, I’m not the same writer I was at twenty, nor twenty five, nor two years ago.  Experiences change perspective, perspective changes writing and characterizations.  At twenty, I wouldn’t have thought about coming onto AFF.  At twenty-two, I almost died.  At twenty five, I challenged myself to start writing outside the comfort zone.  Two years ago, I first wrote in a character that I had never thought to include, due largely to my challenge.  Last year, I started posting on AFF.
Do you feel like there are lines that shouldn't be crossed?
On a personal level, yes.  Always.  Robbing a bank, murder, turning the country into a totalitarian dictatorship…  Writing wise, yes, but only on my own personal side.  Writing characters who rob banks, commit murder, turn a country into a totalitarian dictatorship is fine within the confines of the written word.  Indeed, they are present in reality, so why should they not be present in the world created by an author?  I won’t write a minor1/minor2, that’s my personal line that won’t be crossed, but in the world of writing, if it fits into the narrative, then go for it.
    Can you go too far?
Strangely enough, I’ve seen this question paraphrased on several writing sites and even arguments while trying to find details with regards to writing BaH and CHHW.  Can you go too far…  This bears with it a question more of person preference than of overarching finality.  I guess the answer for me is yes, you can.  Can that rape scene be cut without any loss to the over all narrative?  Can that disembowelment scene be cut down a little because it goes on too long?  (There might have been some of that on my part, too, so…  lol).  But that is preference more than a strict guideline, in my opinion.  As I continue to work on BaH and CHHW, the boundaries I once thought as ‘too far’ have shifted backwards, further and further back, (mostly due to Blood and Honour) and I find myself looking back and wondering how far ‘too far’ is now.
    Maybe you should
I feel one should definitely push their boundaries of comfort.  But that may just be me.
