I don't think Id be forcing anyone if I just gave a hint to dummies that there are clues they could search for if they want an early answer. But I can force my betas to search for clues cuz they're my betas and my bitches! Its their job to tell me if the clues are working so get to searching! So u also vote for not telling?

Well just because I didn't like most of them, doesn't mean other ppl don't. I can only speak for me and my taste in the end. If your not sure how your readers feel about the sex, ask them to comment on it specifically and to tell you what they're interested in seeing. Tho I'm sure they liked it otherwise they'd complain or stop reading. And if you like the sex you wrote who am I to tell you to change? Well yeah ur beta but...you know what I mean! But s good ur looking for improvement if you’re not satisfied. I think you got a pretty good sexual tension going in the beginning of Parasitic Love though some of that dispersed a bit when the characters started fucking around -which is only to be expected, i honestly don't think I coulda pulled it off better if I was writing ur story. So when it comes to sexual tension ur doing pretty fucking good (at least in what I read so far) so dont be so hard on urself boo boo! -

Hey don't shit on PWP! Its porn! I need my spank material! Oh s not that hard, you just do your research and you’re covered! Well I hope so… I mean you see it all the time, men writing lesbians, female whiting gay guys and in het writing from another persons POV. Thats what writers do, we put ourselves in other ppls shoes. -
Aww boo! Why didya put me last bitch?! I didn't know u deleted anything?

But to answer the actual thread: I'm currently writing a story that in my opinion is my best (though that isn't saying much...) both in writing style and plot. And out of all of my stories it received the least lovin! I had stories (on other websites btw) that were total shit and ppl loved it! And its so bad I feel really embarrassed now by the shittynes of the plot that didn't make sense, the characters that were ether empty shells or sadistic fuckers and all of the grammatical errors. And it was my most beloved story… ppl suck!

Aww my poor bobo! What story are you talking about? Crawling within?

In my case its mostly about fantasy vs reality. For example in real life I am very squeamish about things I put near my mouth and face and butthole but I read and write m/m and find it pretty hot. I also find rimming very hot in fantasy but in reality I wouldn't wanna have my tongue anywhere near an asshole. I have a lot of underage shit going on in my stories too (both written and still in my head) even though I don't find teenagers sexually attractive. I think that maybe that's because I find ‘sexual awakening’ interesting to write about. Also there are stories of mine that kinda demand it because of the marriage customs and the ideas of consent and sexual maturity are different in the story’s universe than in our own. And of course, since a lot of my characters have terrible childhoods, there are the backstories and flashbacks that are usually very... unpleasant to write. Hmm...when I look back I wrote a lot of things that were unpleasant to write… But I think I got a bit off topic, sorry my brain is just not working properly today...idk did I answer the question? I forgot what I was gonna say! Whaa am I so broken?! -

lol I just like to fuck with you from time to time, you know, keep u guessing excuses excuses! Don’t be jelly cuz I thought of it 1st! -
Personally I hate short chapters. When I see that a story has like 20 chapters and get super excised to read that shit and then discover that all the chapters are like super short I get pissed! So I’d take a longer chapter any day. But I get it, super long chapters can be a pain in the ass for a reader and sometimes intimidating. So honestly medium is the best. Now idk how much this is when it comes to word count, so the words “long” and “short” are subjective. So I don't think I helped much here...but I gotta get that post cred! #thuglife

Writing A Diverse Cast of Characters: Points and Tips For Authors
sweetmamajama replied to Tcr's topic in Writers' Corner
I personally don't think it is… Well actually it depends how important it is to the story, some shit is just not relevant. But when were talking about something like race, you don't really need to go into things if its not important, just describe the character and s it. I do think when it comes to things like appearance and character backstory of the main cast you gotta write that shit. I think it enriches the story. And I don't wanna read about a character and don't even know what they look like or where they come from. So yeah for the main cast, definitively not keep it vague. For the others? meh idk, maybe, maybe not. Depends how relevant to the story it is. -

Yeah sometimes. If you feel this way you gotta asses the situation: Would the criticism be valid or just nitpicky whinny shit? Some ppl can get offended over anything and you can’t really please those ppl, so I’d just ignore them. Now a way to avoid being legitimately disrespectful is to do your research into the matter that you're writing about. Thinking outside of the box and trying to see things from a different angle is also a way to avoid making mistakes. But I usually like to avoid all that shit by making something a fantasy. I can also do whatever dafuck I want so that's also great. -
Writing A Diverse Cast of Characters: Points and Tips For Authors

This is a very good point right here. There is always gonna be a little bit of a stereotype or a cliche in any character, the thing to do is to pile on top of it so your character is a character and not a walking talking stereotype. Though Id honestly forgive an obvious stereotype when its for comedic purposes. Well as long as its not malicious. -

That’s kinda funny cuz I grew up in an all white country and my characters are mostly Asian or mixed. And this was a subconscious thing cuz I really like Asian cultures and stuff so of course I'm gonna have lots of Asians. So I think that most people when they create a world don't really focus on the race but on the setting and a culture and what race your characters end up being is just a by product. And Clovey you do have more of a problem with sexual diversity than racial diversity in your stories (at least the ones I read). You do tend to make everyone gay and I think you mentioned this to me. It is convenient when writing slash. But I'm just saying among the more superficial character traits don't forget sexuality when were talking about diversity. -
s whaa I love u

u suck clovey!

Ok so 2 for not telling 0 for telling the audience But come on clovey! If nobody notices the hint then whats the point?! Btw tbag found the hint in the 1st chapter but you didn't. Up ur game bitch!
