  1. Remember when I made this prediction about Amanda? So now she screams at Jack— “If I wanna fuck the whole school, you can’t tell me not to!” Yep-- for a good time, call Amanda. It will probably depend on whether Grant was scared away for good. Jack— you boob, you fool, you stooge, you incompetent moron! You will justly deserve what is going to happen to you. In two years you have gone from a level-headed, stand-up guy to the Queen Bee’s lackey. I also predicted that you would get suspended in your senior year. Believe it, dude. Your soon-to-be ex-girlfriend is going to Iowa without you. Possibly she’ll save your worthless ass, but I’m not holding my breath.
  2. Joe- I’m very sorry to hear this news and coming at a time when you’ve made a big change in your life. I know that your sense of duty and honor will stand you in good stead while you work through this. Never fear— things will get better, my friend.
  3. As soon as Brad told Jack that the Homecoming fight with Craig was the beginning of the plot against him I went back and read the first paragraph of Chapter 8. In fact, I re-read the whole chapter (again). Jack had also said that the Homecoming of his Sophomore year was the flashpoint of everything that followed. Now Jessica I can understand pretty easily— she’s a privileged, spoiled bitch who has always gotten her way. Remember what she said when Jack turned her down about taking her to the dance? “I’m hot shit,” she said softly, sliding closer to me, “I’m the hottest girl in the class, maybe in school. I’m…look, I’m not trying to be a bitch or anything, but you’re kinda lucky I want you to take me to Homecoming. Come on, Jack, it’s not that bad.” Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Okay, fine— but holding a grudge this long is a bit extreme, wouldn’t you think? I was always curious why a girl like Jessica— class president, Homecoming princess and Queen Bee— doesn’t have a steady boyfriend. Is she that obsessed with Jack? If she can’t have him then she’s going to destroy him? Brad’s hatred of Jack is a little different. At the beginning of the story Brad, Jack and Joe were like the Three Musketeers— friends forever and all that. So what happened? Well, Kayla happened. Through no fault of her own she essentially took Jack away from the team. Think about it— Jack had a loving family and a great girlfriend. Joe had a loving family and— for a while— a great girlfriend. As an only child, all Brad had was his ultra-strict parents. So he became jealous and that morphed into hatred with Jessica’s help. Yeah-- with friends like these, who needs enemies? Good chapter.
  4. Thanks, Joe. Hope you’re doing well.
  5. Can’t wait to hear about this!
  6. Good question. The parents seem to be absent a lot these days. Maybe they figure that since their kids are now all 18 years old it’s okay to go out and get shit-faced on Halloween. I wonder if Chester and Mary are still hanging out with Blanche and Don? You ever notice that in sex stories nobody seems to have a sense of smell? Come on now. The guy and girl combined release a quart of bodily fluids and nobody is the wiser? Sniff, Sniff “KAYLA! GET DOWN HERE!!”
  7. AAARRGHRRR!! Jack, you’re killing me! Just when I thought you were finally getting your shit together… just when I thought you had found the Path of Enlightenment, what happens? You revert to type and fuck up once again! I swear to God, I would tear my hair out if I could spare any! [Okay, rant over.] Jessica’s reaction to Jack’s questioning of Ted means that she’s hiding something big— and if Jack had shown a little more empathy and patience he would have gotten Ted to spill. So now Jack has come to the conclusion that he has to talk to Brad to get to the bottom of all this. Brilliant thinking! Don’t know why Craig would be avoiding Jack and shutting down their friendship, unless someone told him to.
  8. What he said^^ Anyone have any insightful opinions concerning Amanda? I mean, she hasn’t caught a single break since her folks made her split from Alan (who is now indifferent toward her). Then the debacle with Sam and now her belief that Brad is stalking her and Jack won’t help. I’m thinking that she’s using this new guy Grant as window-dressing because he’s big and so her friends won’t feel sorry for her. It’s clear that Amanda doesn’t trust guys her own age. She may hook up with a girl— or find herself a sugar daddy. Why not? She’s eighteen. Any other brilliant theories?
  9. She wouldn’t risk getting pregnant just before starting college and is religious about being on birth control (which is more than can be said for Jack). I think Kayla is just stepping up her game in response to Jack’s dream about filling Jessica with his man-seed. Surely you jest! In every scene that Ted has appeared he has yet to show one shred of alpha-maleness or independent thought. He is so whipped that he’s probably trained to wipe his sisters’ ass Nope-- Ted may be Jessica’s fraternal twin but they aren’t equals. He does what she tells him. If Jack can get him to talk he’ll learn a lot. She won’t be that blatant. Don’t forget that Beth is a teacher with a no-nonsense reputation. Her offer to Jack that he can always come to her office (after school) with any problems is as far as she will go. If Jack takes her up on it then I can’t wait to see what they talk about. I think we’re starting to see a change in our protagonist. At the beginning of the chapter I was thinking same old Jack but then he surprised me. He is questioning his motivation for hating Brad and realizing that Jessica is using him. He told Amanda that he’s not fighting Brad and to stop whining like a bitch. Most importantly, Jack is starting to use phrases like, “Let’s just see what happens.” He is showing patience and learning that often the wisest course of action is to do nothing. Good job.
  10. Your timing is getting better. Today is my one day off this week!
  11. Good one! Too bad Ashley’s not a blonde— they could be Jack and Kayla.
  12. Why do I have the feeling that Jack is about to do something really stupid?
  13. Don’t know if I agree with that. Jack doesn’t want to stay— he wants to leave. The Homecoming dance was a good example. We came… we danced… saw Beth… Craig’s not coming… this is getting old… we’re outta here. He wants to time warp to the end of the school year, grab Kayla and boogie to Iowa. The thing is, Jack is now worried about Amanda’s well-being after he’s gone. I’m afraid he might try to do something about Brad (hopefully nothing fatal).
  14. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! TWO years ago I called it! Beth Cartwright. Bow down before me, knaves! Her dog trainer is her boyfriend? Ah well, love me— love my dog. And yes, she’s definitely playing games with Jack. I thought it was strange that Mr. Nightingale pleaded with Jack to talk with Brad but won’t say exactly why? If Brad has to be under supervision all the time then maybe he’s suicidal. Jack and his dad made the right decision to blow them off. If Amanda talks Jack into a re-match with Brad then he deserves everything he gets. Speaking of Amanda, she didn’t seem very enthusiastic about her new boyfriend. I give this Grant guy a month at most. I hope we’re not seeing the beginning of the end of the Craig-Jack friendship. If so, then Becca’s behind it. I predict that Joe Hayes will soon have another boyfriend to replace Sam.. So Jack had another sex dream— this time about a dark-haired girl? Amanda, you think? Hold it— what color hair does Beth have?? Good chapter.
  15. Well, I just got home … fed the dogs … sat down in my comfortable leather recliner … turned on the laptop expecting to see Chapter 65 … and now I’m depressed. Fortunately, I am patient
  16. Congrats! Jeez, that’s two houses in two years. Are you going to be staying put for a while or you don’t know yet?
  17. The story starts with Jack going into his sophomore year so it’s been roughly 2½ years. One thing about Jack that never ceases to amaze me is his uncanny ability to dig his own grave with his mouth. He managed to piss off Belle, Jessica and Kayla just by talking too much. Actually, I wish Jack would have had his sex dream about Ms. Cartwright instead of Jessica and then told Kayla about it— that would have been funny! Speaking of which— I wonder if Ms. Cartwright is playing games with our hero? They can’t have a ‘personal’ talk’ unless she initiates it? Sounds like a tease to me. [And once again, Mr. Author, please give her a first name!] Pretty good chapter with a decent cliff hanger. Brad’s dad should be great fun.
  18. This is off-topic, but did anyone see Riverdale last night? I was looking for something to watch before President Trump’s interview and settled on this. Before it started I went on Wiki to get a synopsis. The series is a high school drama based on the ‘Archie’ comics, which I haven’t read in decades. [Damn, who knew all those 25-cent ‘graphic novels’ would become so valuable?] The show has some established actors as well as a bunch of newcomers playing Archie and the gang. Anyway, as I watched I couldn’t help but draw some parallels between Riverdale and SITO. I guess that there is nothing new under the sun when it comes to high school— except for a girl group called Josie and the Pussycats!
  19. If he did, then Joe would have been too embarrassed to tell his folks— especially his dad. That’s why he’s talking with the counselor.
  20. Jashley didn’t say exactly, but I’m going to assume that the restraining order applies to everyone in the group (as well as Jessica and Ted). So far as we know Brad has only called Jack and Jessica. She’s probably too scared to tell her folks so it remains to be seen what Jack will do.
  21. Remember what Mike Harrison said to Jack about the restraining order back in Chapter 61— “He cannot contact you in any way, shape, or form. If he does, he’s getting tossed right back inside.” This means that Brad is already in violation of his parole for just calling Jack. If he wanted to, Jack could simply tell his dad and Brad would be gone. Of course, we know that won’t happen.
  22. It seems to me that the twins already know that they’re through with each other but you’re right that there’s a confrontation coming. The fact that Amanda admitted she’s been talking to a classmate but won’t say who suggests that it’s someone Jack knows. I thought at first it might be Kelly but now I have someone else in mind. I like Jack’s observation that his Lit teacher, Ms. Pallin, doesn’t like guys. That could be interesting.
  23. Good timing! Something to read while watching the parade.
  24. Congrats on passing your exams although we never had any doubt! Any idea how long until you get posted to duty somewhere?
