Hey Joe, Off topic but it’s that time of the year again. We’d appreciate a list of Best and Worst movies from 2018-- if you have time.
-
I admit I’m behind in my reading because of some other matters but I just finished Ch. 112. Wasn’t expecting that! I think Kayla did mention once that she wished she had a sibling. Good one, Mr. Author.
-
Have a safe trip and best wishes to you and your family for a happy New Year!
-
Thank you for taking the time to entertain us. Always a pleasure to read a new chapter. Have a great day!
-
Been busy myself and haven’t finished Ch.110 yet. Hopefully I’ll get caught up over the holiday. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
-
We enjoyed Chapter 100 a few months back! You’re working too hard.

Pretty good chapter but I can’t figure why Becca’s parents would sign off on their daughter dropping out less than a semester before getting her high school diploma. Before Jack talks to Craig, he needs to call Amanda and find out what’s going on. Forgot— If she’s 18 she doesn’t need their permission.
-
Okay, I’m calling you on this one. Who the hell is ‘kyle’ ? I assume that was Heather who walked in on them (probably on purpose). Jack made it clear he doesn’t want to discuss it. Ever. Now that everyone’s anal fetish has been satisfied, maybe we can ponder a more literary matter. This guy Graham Guttenberg— friend or foe? I’m guessing the latter. Maybe he is the new Brad. And that frizzled-haired guy sounds like trouble waiting to happen. Face it, Jack. You’re just not a party animal.

Technical difficulties? Just admit that you slept in on Sunday.

“And so the circle of insanity begins…” Knew this was coming ever since the conversation Chester had with Jack while shoveling the driveway. He wanted to make sure Jack would be there to take care of Kayla. Jack needs to tread carefully here until something actually happens back home. He’s right in thinking that often the wisest course of action is to do nothing. He also needs to tell Thomas to keep his mouth shut about it. Good chapter. If this is going to be the start of a new Saga, then Circle of Insanity would be a good name.

A little off-topic but I actually took the time yesterday to root for Iowa State who got their first win of the year over Akron University 26 – 13. Too bad the story line isn’t in synch with football season!

Chapter 106 had me thinking that maybe you’re setting us up for something. Everything seemed to be going a little too smoothly. Jack is optimistic about the audition. His classmates and professors like him. Kayla reaffirms her love for him. Life’s a bowl of cherries, right? Sorry, but that ain’t Jack. Something is going to blow up in his face but I don’t know what.

“if Jessica was planting her stake in my life again, however sincere it might or might not have been, it was possible she wasn’t going to go away for a long time. And once again, we wouldn’t be free of her.” Jack should simply block their phone numbers (Jessica and Ted) and be done with it. That’s what Kayla is going to tell him. There’s no upside here for Jack if he contacts Jessica because he might be feeling guilty. BTW, where is Jessica going to college? Somewhere close to Iowa? Might be funny if she showed up at Jack’s door un-announced. Then we’d see a good catfight!

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the drop in the number of contributors on the forum coincided with the groups’ graduation from Brow Ridge. That’s sad in a way— almost like some readers were thinking, Well, high school’s over so what else is there? Myself, I thought the College Saga re-invigorated the story very well without requiring Jack to get into another fight. I’m half hoping, however, that you come up with another arch-nemesis like Brad. I would tell you to just keep doing what you’re doing and don’t spare the details! …… and WTF is going on with the Hannigans?
-
Okay, I blew that one. Not only does Perry turn out to be a nice guy, but he gets Jack thinking about a possible career change. Good chapter. I’m wondering why Grant suddenly took off without saying hello to Jack. Could that conversation on the front porch with Amanda have been their break-up? Just so I don’t miss it— Happy Birthday tomorrow to our author. Wishing you a great day, Joe!
-
Here’s a few things I hope get answered— *What’s with the Hannigans? Are they going to separate? *What’s with Alan? Why did he stop bulking up? Something to do with Kelly? *What’s with Amanda? Is she still with Grant or maybe someone else? (Jack noticed how beautiful she looked.) I also hope that Jack runs into someone unexpected— maybe Belle or Jessica or even Brad? Or possibly his favorite phys-ed instructor, the delightful Ms. Cartwright? One prediction before the new chapter is posted… Rhona’s new boyfriend will make a total jerk out of himself when they all get togrther.
-
The driveway conversation between Jack and Chester combined with Kayla crying after calling home on Thanksgiving leads me to believe that the Hannigans are considering divorce. I don’t think they can go on without their daughter in their lives. Any thoughts on this?
-
Okay, what’s going on here? Nice, upbeat Christmas-time chapter with Jack & Kayla both in a good mood. Well, of course this won’t last. Something tells me this guy Perry is going to be trouble.
-
Hope everyone has a happy and safe Fourth of July!
-
Awesome! Chapter 100 was a turning point for Jack, I think. I especially liked his conversation with May.
-
“I could be the guy everyone liked. For once in my life.” – (Jack) “Jack, you realize that nobody really likes you, right?” - (Todd) Just finished 99. Although Jack made a doofus out of himself at the party, Todd’s remark was a little strong (and I guess Mary agreed with it). Jealousy? We’ll have to see if anyone else feels the same way.
-
Jeez! … and I haven’t finished 99 yet! Anyhow, congratulations on a noteworthy milestone. Your story strikes a chord we can all relate to. Craig, Joe, Jessica and even Brad— most of us knew friends like that.
-
Without question, this is going to be a memorable Christmas vacation at home. It seems that Amanda, Kayla and Rhona have problems… and they’re all going to dump on poor Jack. Happy holidays!
-
(quote)- “Wait, what?” I couldn’t have been hearing that right. I just stared at her. “Four years? Another four years? What?” God, I’ve been patiently waiting for Jack to finally realize that a DVM degree takes a total eight years of college. If Kayla stays at ISU for the whole program, then Jack will have to make some serious decisions.

The author means that Chapter 99 will be the last one in the College Saga, which has run longer than any of the others. Jack and Kayla left for Iowa State beginning with Chapter 85 so that makes it fifteen chapters long. Don’t sweat it— he’s got a long way to go yet.
