Huh, I must be the worst writer ever then because 2/3 of my originals are hanging around 0 reviews but I don’t take it personally, I just do it because I like it  And for what it’s worth, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with celeb fiction, I mean it is just fiction like everything else here, including originals. I just don’t tend to pop into sections of the forum that don’t seem to apply to me (like the anime section for example, because I don’t write in that genre). I think you’ve done really well for yourself in a challenging genre and for that, I commend you!

And yes, yes, yes, I’d love to see you around the forum more! We’re having a couple of discussions in the writer’s corner right now, pop in, say hi! You seem fuuun!

Oh, well I have a rl friend who writes really well-written celebrity fiction (with popular boy bands) and is fairly popular. Even if some people think it’s problematic, well, who really cares what they have to say (as long as you don’t get into legal trouble)? I’ve had Christians tell me my work is satanic (my fantasy YA that I AM trying to get published), and hey, I sympathize but I don’t need their permission or validation. I do know that celebrity fiction gets attention, but original fiction is usually ignored, especially on a site like this. I think it’s interesting you find original fiction writers elitist, because many of my friends on this site  write original and they’ve been the most helpful in terms of orientation and writing tips. I hope I can change your mind about original fiction writers 

And hey, it’s not really my thing but I’m sure you’re a great writer; no one wants to read trash writing even if celebrities are in it 

Oh no, but you’re really nice! Hell, I’m the moron who only writes original stuff on a website called adult FAN FICTION so I know red-headed stepchild, believe me… Besides, you’re like, super popular, I’m jealous

It’s so much fun, isn’t it? I thought we had to be a higher rank to do that! 

YES, trying to strike that balance between expediency and quality, because in my other novel-length stuff, I tend to agonize over drafts for YEARS. I used to do 10k+ chapters, but I’ve cut it down to the 5k – 7k range.

It’s definitely a different format and burnout is a killer fr. On the other hand, I kind of enjoy having a weekly turnover. It’s neat, like running a TV show. 

I know, I do it too. Have faith in yourself and your writing, it always helps me. 

I wish you wouldn’t be so hard on yourself. It’s easy to pick yourself apart with retrospect. 

Losing a pet is the worst, I’m so sorry.

My advice would just be not to stress out about it, haha.
