Had another review, just what I needed to kickstart my inspiration for finishing up the latest chap. Sorry its been so long everyone, school and life have taken up alot of my time but I will make sure to finish this like I wanted to a while ago. Wow I know its been a while for me and this reply is very overdue but I finally had time to get it done and out there. Here's the review for chapter 37! Ianthe - Sorry for that little spoiler but it was needed since the only way for Slaiden to be sent back by summoning is by completing his part of the contract otherwise hes stuck there which isnt good for anyone haha. Yes Zack was but all people react differently and I felt it was needed since he's a dumb guy anyway, Harley's doing him a major favor by trying to save his dumb ass. Hopefully I'll get the next chapter soon, its been over a month which I feel horrible about but school comes first and finals are coming up in a few weeks. Well im all settled up at school for my third year and found some time to write so as promised here is chapter 35! It's a bit of a filler since I'm getting close to wrapping it up. The next chapters will have a lot of interesting events and of course lead up to the long anticipated finale.....and in a way branch to the impending sequal. Not sure about the front but I do know that damage to the spine can cause paralyzation, most specifically the back of the upper neck and area between the shoulders. This is your best bet for paralyzation because there is nothing protecting the spine where as the front has the rib cage and other parts that block access to the spine which has all the major nerves. Hope that helps in some way

Well I'm finally settled in my apartment at my University. Internet and cable took all day to set up but I'm not complaing cuz the tech guys who came to fix our wireless were really cute. Anyway now I can finally get to my review replies for chapter 34 and maybe get some writing done later this week once the hype dies down of being back. I needed to put in a diffrent twist since a hospital scene would have been to complicated to write about so Cal was thrown in which turned out alot better then I first thought. I wanted him to compliment Gavin in a diffrent way, to show a more at ease guy then the all buisness, hard faced Gavin that is seen in the previous chapters. Also showing that he doesnt always go by the book like one would assume. Cal also has depth, more so then planned. He has a laid back personality but is more aware of things then he lets on. He may show up in the future before this story comes to a close since he was really fun to write about. His insulting dialouge was fun, I couldnt help but crack a few smiles as I was writing it all out. Thanks for all of your reviews and help these last few weeks, I really appreciate it. Chapter 34 is up! Hot off the press! It's nice and long since I had to leave on a good note since my updating will be less frequent since fall term is starting up. Well I lost power last night due to a tornado going through my backyard, No worries though, no one was hurt thankfully. Since I got power now and back from I can finally get to replying for chapter 33. jackpot7374- Thanks for the help earlier and while not intended it was funny how your name got thrown in there. And your right, Harley is in for a lot if Slaiden isn't in a good mood. Poor girl...but she will hang on, she's now quiter or one to submit easily. And I will continue but since I'm going back up to school next friday my writing will take a back seat since school comes first. Updates will be maybe 2 weeks at a time instead of the usuall 1. Chapter 33 is finally up! I took me all week since I got back on Saturday but it's finally done! It's full of action and some hot action between Halrey and Slaiden. This chapter is a bit darker then ones before it but I hope you all like it just the same. It turned out great so let me know what you all think! I agree with that. I dont think he ment to do anything illegal, he just wasn't considering what that sort of content discovered in the mail could cause. He probably never thought it would be interecepted or even that it was that big of a deal since it's not what he considers porn.

Personally I think that is a bit over the top. From what I get from the article, the guy is a collector and that's it. They mentioned no past history of pedophile acts or acussations against him so he can't be labled as one. Even if his sentence is only 6 months and not the 15 years estimated at first, I think the Gov is blowing this one out of proportion. Even if under the Product Act, this isn't child porn, just stories and drawings created by an artist with no connection to actuall people. It's apprently legal in asia so how bad can the profanity of really be? But then again, to each there own and this what the America Gov veiws as porn I guess. Its anyone opinion on what they consider porn, hell you could consider reading smut a form of if it if you wanted to. But based on the 'collector' lable, I think he doesn't consider it porn, just coo art and interesting stories. And maybe his age was what caused the pedophile lable to be thrown around. I feel bad for him for having to sevre that sentence but it could've be worse. To bad his lawyer coudn't build a good defense since he was right to assume that the jury will make the call on how they feel about the images. As a Criminal Justice major, I can see how that would be hard to build a case to a jury of your peers when in reality these peers most likely have no prior knowledge of manga and what is considered 'normal content' in asia. Unfair on one end but that is why unbiased, fresh opinions are needed. Lotlia maybe considered taboo but if its just a drawing and not the actual act (consent may matter depedinging on opinion) then I don't see the big deal. Wow didnt mean to babble the much but I guess my major and moderate knowlege fo manga made me want to share my opnion. Lol, yeah if only these characters knew how they were protrayed. They probably wouldnt like it, much less their creater. All that effort into creating a uniques, complex character only to have them be written to be like an idiot or a total fluffy love sick dude. It just doesnt work.

Very ture, I totally get where your coming from with that. It is a major let down when an author makes the canon character so flat compared to the actualy personality of that said character. Descriptive words are very improtant otherwise we can't relate to the character in any possible way. Belivability, that little tiny thought of this person could actually be 'real' is a big key in writing OC's...or even Canon Chars if you want to do them justice in portraying them. I've read some fics where they totally butcher a canon. It's one thing to say that they will be out of character, that I will understand, but to actually try to pass them off as their actuall personality and not at all getting what that charcter is about is is something that turns me off to fic. If your trying to be serious in portraying that character correctly then do some homework, watch episodes/read books/ comics...ect. what ever it is that they are from and put the effort in. It's worth it in the end.

No, your right on topic Clover, I fully agree with that. Nothing against the books or movies but hype fanbases can get intimidating and create alot of junk stories to be produced by teens who still need to work on their writing skills....or just want to make their fave characters hook up lol. But your also right that alot of budding authors do spring up from the huge fanbases which actually end up writing some great stuff that leaves you beegin for the next chaper. I like Harry Potter and over the years I've read some really great fics that I hope will one day take that author far. And yeah Jigoku, I have come across some secondary characters who were MS's, either crazy moms or annoying best friends. lol dont worry, they can remain nameless, very funny though.

Lol, I love this! Very funny and so true. A lot of fic's I've read have done MS's either on purpose or thinking that they have great character. They turn me off to a fic right away since they are too 'cookie cutter', too perfect for my taste. I find myself rolling my eyes everytime I start to read one of those, either in a fanfic with canon character or an OC in Original works. I need to be able to relate to the main character or be able to beleive that they could be real to want to keep readin cuz if you dont like the main character than why read it? While I've only have one fic on AFF, I worked hard not to have a MS. Realistic characters are much more enjoyable to read and write about, we're not perfect so I dont expect fictional characters to be either. When your younger its alot easier to write a MS and not know or think that you are because you think that kind of character is cool. Probably why the preteens around my neighborhood got into twilight, they love the main characters. (Sorry to anyone who likes twilight, no offense to you in any way.) Not my thing at all, couldnt even finish the first book that my sister had. Since I read a lot I tend to pick on on MS's right away and I always want to kick myself when I buy or checkout a book and find myself not liking the main character, money down the drain. enough ranting of my opinion lol, just thought I'd let you know that I enjoyed the topic, made me literally laught out loud.

Joined a while back but figured I should introduce myself at some point. I'm 21, currently in college which I absolutely love, born and raised in Michigan and as the name implies I have a black belt in karate, a passion I've had since I was 11. I love to read and watch movies. I'm a pretty laid back person so a nice relaxing night hanging out with friends is just as good as going out somewhere to me. I only have one story posted so far in the original section but I like to write one story at a time so one doesn't suffer from negelct. It's a lot easier for me to focus and give all my effort into one to make it the best it can be. I will probably only write in Original because I have several ideas and plots spinning around in my head just waiting to be put down on paper. I like to read other types of Fanfics such as some of anime, movies and books but would never right my own since at the moment it is not a particular interest of mine. Writing originals is something that I can wholely call mine, purely unique and never have to live up to the expectations of others of a well known favorite for example. Not that I have anything against that, not at all, just a personal choice. I've also become an avid reveiwer on some stories that I follow by others and am starting to get into using the boards, sharing advice or asking for some. I like to give feedback just as much as recieving it, all posititve of course, and like getting to know others who share a common interest which is reading on AFF. That's about it I guess for me. I'm surprised I got that much out since I usually hate talking about myself, ice breakers can be so awkward at times, lol. <3 Karategirl422
