I have one word to add to this "DITTO" or two words "ME TOO" The Admins and Mods have a thankless unpaid job, so yeah saying thanks...definitely of the good. Personally I get a good giggle out of what they write in the forums sometimes. (some of the questions,queries etc are soooo pedantic)

Ditto. I completely agree. The moderators and tech staff are all legends. I started reading here because about 80% of the stuff on ff.net was juvenile. It's usually easier to spot minors, they don't have as a mature writing style from what I can tell.

Greetings and salutations. I'm new to posting although I've been reading fanfiction for... 7 years! (Bloody Hell, I only just realised how long!) I mainly write Harry Potter stories and have several in the works at the moment. Only two have been posted so far. I am looking for someone to read through and correct spelling and obvious grammar mistakes. I use the British and Australian spelling of words so I need someone who won't try and correct words like: realise and colour and favourite. I am a soppy romantic at heart so most of my ideas have romance and a bit of angst. Also hate Ron Weasley and bash him whenever possible. I tend to write chapters that have an average of 5000 words. Some are shorter and some are longer. That's an estimate. I am looking for someone reliable who will take up to a week and no more per chapter. TTFN Crazy Pedantic P.S. Hi. I've just started posting HP fics. I would like to offer my services as a beta to people who might want one. I have a lot of knowledge about Harry Potter, Babylon 5, Buffy, Dawson's Creek, MacGyver, Stargate SG1 and probably lots more. I've never been a beta before and I can guarantee that I'm not perfect and may miss things. However I do pay alot of attention to spelling and grammar. I both use the spell checker and re-read my own work before posting. I'm willing to offer ideas if someone gets stuck, and won't take offense if they're not used. I tend to be brutally honest in my comments. I also try and criticise positively. I will not beta any anime or manga, sorry just not into that. Hi. I saw that you go by the name Satai Delenn. Since I am a big Babylon 5 fan and a big Harry Potter fan I thought I would offer my services as a beta. Now I've never actually beta'd before. I don't know if I will be any good at it. I do know I have the same type of problem you do with knowing where commas go. *sigh* However I am the sort of person that will at least attempt to read anything. I am also brutally honest, if something is bad I will tell you. On the other hand I will do it as nicely as possible with positive suggestions attached. I'm generally online a couple of times a week and read alot. If you don't want me as a beta, that's cool no offense taken. ttfn crazypedantic

I agree that the epilogue was rather lacking. It truly was just about who spewed out kids. The good part was that Harry named one of his kids after Snape. Can't believe he put Albus first. I always thought that Dumbledore was manipulative and the memories and actions of the younger Dumbledore proved that. I also agree with earlier posts that the malfoy family was turned into nothing but snivelling cowards. HBP showed Draco to be torn about his set task and he obviously wasn't a killer, then in the last book he's still trying to chase after Harry where they burnt down the room of requirement. I thought the last two books read quite like a movie. Most of the scenes were straight to the point and read like it could just be easily transformed into a script. that's my 2 cents worth. </FONT>
