It's a splendid rant, but unless you give me something more to go on, I can't tell you why a particular story was deleted.
I will tell you that we wrote our Terms of Service in plain English, rather than in the legal gibberish most sites use. Go read there Terms of Service, and then read ours. We're not trying to be obtuse about what we require. We also try to make our review board warnings and email warnings very clear. We want people to understand HOW to fix an issue, because you're right about one thing. We're a fiction archive and we want to host fiction.
But we don't censor here. I've defended the right of authors to post things that I personally find utterly repugnant, as long as that story abides by the site's rules. I've had to review stories during my weekly sweeps that are so poorly written as to make my brain ache, but those stories remain on the site as long as they abide by the site's rules.
Do you see the common theme here? It's not about what I like, or what any moderator likes. It's about following the rules. If you're having an issue with following rules, then you are going to have a very unhappy life, because being an adult means following rules.
Now, if you;re ready to be an adult, please let me know what story is deleted, and we'll act like adults and discuss it rationally.

So, original posting numbnut, just which stories are being deleted willy nilly for no good reason? I can 100% guarantee you that it would be NONE. We delete stories if the person that posted them are under age. Why do we do that? Because we can go to JAIL. Yes, actual jail, with bars. And yes, it has happened before elsewhere. Stories can also be hidden from public if a person fails to abide by our ToS, but are unhidden when they comply, again only to protect ourselves, as well as YOU. Stories AREN'T deleted simply because someone doesn't like it. Don't believe it? I'm sure people could guide you to some stories that many would find utterly repulsive, but they're still there.
But as others have pointed out, if you don't like our rules - the rules of a site totally free for you to use, but expensive for us to run - then you can kindly fuck off and not come back.

i believe the theme here is grow up and get over it! The rules are there for a reason, don't like them, then fine, don't let the door hit you on the ass as you leave

I just want to add that you have no idea why that story was deleted and therefore you are only assuming things. What it basically boils down to is the story and/or author not meeting the terms laid out in the TOS. Definitely not because of the actual content, I can assure you.
The reason that this site asks for your date of birth is to make sure that you're not a child trying to come into an adult site.
The admin and the other moderators work hard to ensure that they adhere to the rules that are required for them to run this website. They didn't make up those rules, they only enforce them. However, I am certain that a mod will come by to answer your question although you are being very vague about the situation which makes us assume that it was your own story that was deleted. If that's the case then someone has already contacted you about what needs to be done to correct it. Complaining here will do nothing but make a moderator come by to reiterate.

I agree with you CrissyQ. The administrators have an age requirement to keep them out of courts. If the person dosent want to give. The info to verify their legitimate age then the have no right to conplain when they are stricken from this site or any other site that requires age verification. And if the submit a story that does not meet the requirement that the loss that one also. Would like to say that I am sorry for coming off to the administrators about a story that I was following and did not like their review until they informed me that it did not meet standards. I saw where they were right and was glad that author was able to fix I t to keep it on this site.

    Welcome to the real world!

There are these things called rules, and standards. Part of being an adult is learning to adhere to rules, and having standards. I'm sorry if a story of yours/a story you read was taken down for not adhering to the rules or falling below this sites standards.
They have every right to remove material that violates terms of service, they are paying to maintain this domain which you get to use for free. I'm sorry if you don't understand the concept of a ToS, and that it has nothing to do with adult oriented material. The site literally says "Adult Fan fiction" Adult is a subjective term. Adult, can mean anything from graphic sex, graphic violence or extreme situations. Adult also varies by country, what is considered adult in the US is not the same as in the UK, EU Canada or Japan.
In closing, you should have read the Terms of service before posting, I know... reading is hard. But if you had you would have posted here, you wouldn't have wasted your time and I wouldn't be laughing at how juvenile your argument is. Seriously... are you 12? Even porn sites have rules for content.
TL:DR ... Learn 2 read ToS before signing up.

I know there have been questions through the past couple years as to what happened to my story "Adaptation," a post-apocalyptic tale of six people who travel across Canada to set up a secondary base for their organization five years after the world ended. They had a plan, but it all went down the drain when they found a young man who had been in hiding since the end.
Well, it's been through some edits and re-writes and adjustments, even a new chapter, it's name has been changed to Five Years Dead and it's now part of the Haven series, with books two and three almost written. Five Years Dead has now been scheduled for the editor, and will be published in early 2016!

I'm in my corner with a doily on my lid. I have no plans of leaving, but if you feel the need please remember to bend at the knees for heavens sake.
Serious angel, if this rant is any indication of quality, then I think it's very clear out all of us that your works deserve to be taken down. You are immature, inarticulate, have no respect for grammar and are spiteful and petty to levels I have not seen here since that shades of grey plagiarist chucked a wobbly and was duly banhammered. If anything, AFF has been elevated by the exodus of you and your ilk.
And one last thing. You should never judge yourself by the number of "followers" (which do not exist on AFF) or reviews you have. This is neither an indication of quality or a healthy way to grow as an author. You will never hope to improve if you keep up this attitude, if such a thing is even of value to you.

I just want to say that I completely agree with BronxWench above.
What the OP, Guest_Ninjaxxx_ is asking for is NOT a D/s relationship, it is just plain old abuse. I could even go as far as saying assault and rape as well, and a touch of Stockholm syndrome, just for kicks. And if that's your thing, go ahead and enjoy reading and/or writing that. But please remember that, that's not what D/s relationships are like in reality.
And remember, research is your friend.

Honestly, as far as I understand it in English, It and They are gender neutral pronouns, much like in many other germanic languages, so you could always just use those. I have heard that nowadays, there are gender non-conforming people who are asking to be referred to by "they", as a gender neutral pronoun, instead of she or he.

LOL, I will… you want to do my Japanese schoolwork for me while I do?
I hope that as soon as my health improves, I'll start to write more. And hopefully, if Bronxie ever gets time to peek at my chapters (sorry, Bronxie ), I can start working on my novel again too. But for now, sadly, there's only the RP.
And the rest of my stories
Thank you, Melrick, for the support, and I really hope I'll be able to write more in the near future.

*giggles* because I learned it from books…. I started making the connection between the spoken English on TV and the subtitles at somewhere around 8 years old, my favorite book around age 10 was an English-Icelandic dictionary, and at age 12, when I finally started to study English at school, I already knew the basics… And I've been reading stories in English pretty much exclusively since I was around 16. The trick is, to learn it from a book

Oh, but I am… have been for more than half my life. These are characters from my "big novel", honestly. It's just that life, school, and health problems keep getting in the way of it. And the characters run off to do whatever the fuck they like, when they get bored.
But thank you again, Melrick. Maybe I won't give up on this writing thing just yet

WOW, that was a bit of a blast from the past I had gotten a few reviews for this story when it first got put up, but then suddenly today, I got another one, which totally made my day. And made me want to reply.

So… *squee* Thank you, Melrick, for the wonderful review, and I'm still blushing
I'd like to clarify that the reason for those periods after their names are because for some reason I felt shy (or overprotective) about putting their full names in the story at that point. But this is sort of the first draft of my story, Polinues Marines, the would be mage. (and yes, the name should be Mariness, since that's how it's pronounced.) Ley. stands for Leyjen, and Pol. stands for Polinues. If you want to check that story out, there's ton more detail, ton more smexy goodness, and a shitload more characters but, still, all slash, sorry.
Thank you again for the ego boost, Melrick. I'll be all squeeing for a week now, and I really needed that.
