Despairs

There seems to be a misunderstanding among many of you. Thinking that ONLY adult content is wanted here. That is not the case at all. Fiction of all "ratings", with or without adult content are welcome here.
While the archive certainly has a great deal of adult content, the ADULT in the site name is geared towards the fact that users are to be 18 or older, and that this is a group of ADULTS who come here to write, interact with each other, and etc.
A suggestion for you authors, should your stories be "fluffy", contain no NC-17 type stuff, or whatever, you should make a note of it, so the readers who are looking at your summaries understand that. With the current reworking of the archive, I will suggest that some additional tags be added for this kind of story.
Finally, if you, the author, are FLAMED because someone thinks you must have adult content, because you are on this site, please DO report it.

I can promise you that that sort of behavior is NOT tolerated in these forums. My hammer falls hard and fast for that. We have no problems with lively discussion. What we won't allow, though, is what you're describing.

As I've said, I began writing over on FFN, and was pointed to AFF to read a fic or two. I also had a few friends from FFN who'd published more explicit work here, and when I wrote my first MA work, this is where it went up.
I'm in the process of cleaning up and posting a fic here that's not at all smut. I've done a batch of oneshots that are no sex. We're about writing, and the freedom to write what you want to write. Adult fiction can engage the mind and challenge preconceptions without always being smut.
Having said that, the smut can be fun as well.

*shakes head* I know they have ToS - and yes, on occasion we'll mass report a plagiarist to make them take note, but just cause you don't like a story? Bah - Ah well, let 'em come here and try that... I'll bring out Bob!

We're delighted to have you here! As a former FFN author myself, I wandered here to publish something that was beyond the FFN ratings limits, and was welcomed so warmly that I never left.

Sometimes things take a little more time than one might think they should, be that as it may, she is indeed working on this.

I read this story a little while ago, so the details are a little murky for me. I'll try to remember as much as i can.
This story is in Hogwarts era. Hagrid is a Professor in Care of magical creatures. He pairs off his students and gives them the assignment of raising these magical creatures. I cant remember which creature it is but i do remember that it LOVES to insult people and mate a lot. (I believe its Ron's that keeps mating and it doesnt mind mating right in front of people either) I think it also likes to sleep a lot but i'm not sure.
Harry and Draco take turns watching their creature..Harry in his dorm/common room and Draco in his own private room (prefects i think) Draco buys their creature a special bed and some food/toys that it likes. The creature insults them and others almost constantly (very funny) and it also demands belly rubs.
At the end of this assignment, when its time to give Hagrid the creature back, Harry and Draco are sad about it. They ultimately decide to keep their pet because they have become so attached to it. I believe theirs is a male..wish i could remember his name but i cant.
This is a slash fic. Harry and Draco form a relationship and stay together at the end. Oh, its not only Harry and Draco's creature that likes to insult..its ALL of them. Its in their nature to insult people and they are very good at it.
