I am hoping that the orgy gets all sorted out... even though I've kind of dropped out of it. I am currently suffering from a summer cold... which is making life very difficult for me. I am kind of unable to speak without large amounts of pain. I am terrified I'll spread whatever I've got to the baby.

Before the Orgy, I'd never written a word about a real person... but my rational on that is the same as Nan's. It's kind of a degree or two seperated from our real selves. The Mary Sue Virus is the same kind of thing only a few more degrees out there.

Yeah... umm... the thought has occurred to me. Mary Sue Virus is basically a way to get all those silly SI impulses out of my system... and its a blast! Seriously, I have had so much fun writing this story, I can't even put it into words! I think there are two ways to go about SI. Either you're taking yourself far too seriously and it ends up a bit Sue-ish, or you go in knowing it's a joke and taking it that way, and its fun. Of course, I've had to write four SIs in one... and hopefully I've done Nan, Mad and Poly justice! I think that if you can't see your own faults (like for instance having a very short fuse... and a tendency to pick fights... hmmm... who could that be?? ) you end up writing a Mary Sue instead of a SI. It's a small difference but an important one. Besides, I think I'm a pretty interesting character anyway!

I think little bits of me seep into my works sometimes, but I have never intentionally written about something that has happened in my life. In fact, most of what I write is so far removed from my day to day life that I'm having a hard time thinking of anything major that I could work in... hmm... As for the "write what you know" discussion, well, I've never attended Hogwarts, and I'm not a mutant... so that is obviously out. But, I have been in love, I have had sex, I have been in long term relationships, and those themes pop up quite often. So yes, I do write what I know... and then I connect it to whatever has popped into my head. ... Now obviously the MSV girls are an exception to this, but that's just a light hearted connection... or at least, it started out that way... hmmm...
