Australian’s yesterday voted to have marriage equality.  About damn time.  Now it’s up to the useless politicians to actually put it into action.

Well, I think I’ve nearly done it. Almost seven thousand words. It needs finishing off so that it’ll lead into the next chapter, and it needs several read throughs, but… I’m actually kind of happy with it in the main, I think. And despite the word count, there’s no way I can split this up. I’ve been kind of cruel with cliffhangers, sure, but I think splitting this would rightly get me some bad karma, lol.
Either this is the hottest thing I’ve written for a good, long while, or… *gulps* I’m completely mistaken, and I’ll get a healthy dose of reality when I post it. Please, please, please, let it be the first one.
Okay, I guess I’ll begin those read throughs now. *takes a deep breath*

Couldn’t sleep. But the fun thing about insomnia is everything seems 150% funnier and gooder (that’s a word now. I just decided). I just started a scene and laughed uproariously at a stupid little porny rhyme I wrote in it and I just KNOW I’m going to think it’s totally juvenile and unusable in the morning. Morning Chloe’s such a goddamn stick in the mud. 

If it seems like I’ve been really quiet lately, it’s because I’m doing NaNoWriMo. Because reasons, I wasn’t able to write much of anything during the first 5 days of November, and I’m still trying to catch up. Luckily, my wife has all our cats to keep her company. :\

Well, today was just a big ball of shit. Here’s to tomorrow being super awesome for the sake of homeostasis. 

I’ve finally caught up at least a little on my reading, and I’ve done my archive work, so now I’m gonna let myself write forthe rest of the evening, because Brienne is jumping up and down inside my head right now, and she’s all: “Thirty chapters! It’s my turn now! Write me!”
Gods, these three are demanding. To them, I swear I am just some weird version of Podrick with a pen… but it’s fun, all the same. Brienne’s pov or not, she’s got a surprise coming. The boys have something in mind, don’t they? Haha…  

It is 33 F out there, with wind chills making it feel like it’s in the 20s. That’s 0, with wind chills of -5 C…

Sending out a big thanks to everyone who offered suggestions about my writer’s block last week!  The main problem I was having was that the story was going in the wrong direction and I couldn’t figure out how to get it back on track.
The answer thanks to all of you was basically simple!  Just run with it!  Go with the flow in my head just to get it!  Then go back with the edit and rewrite once it was out of my system.
I chose not to delete the ‘wayward’ sections, but rather copy/paste to another document and file in a folder called ‘Snippets’ because I can use them later on in another story.
So once again!!  Thank You!  Thank You!  Thanks You!

Well, first time for everything.  Here's to the first non-Original story I've done in a long time and first I've posted on here...

Ever feel like you don’t have a clue what you’re doing? 

I am back from my travels. I wasn’t sure we’d get off at all, since my mother had a gallstone attack (requiring an ambulance and hospital admission in the hours before we were due to set off), but happily they eventually gave her the all clear. Do NOT get me started on my aunt, who swanned off to the pub while I went in the ambulance, despite the fact that it was quite serious at that point. And we weren’t even packed. So when we were home, I got zero sleep. But… I got there, and I got to see some good dancers, listened to some great singers, and I got dressed up as a pirate for Whitby Abbey to see a shortish play based on Dracula, and lots of people took pictures of me, which means I probably did it right (or alternatively, very wrong). Internet evidence to the contrary should be kept to yourselves, please. I visited some castles. I stared at the sea, in the rain, in the hours before dawn, because I’m kind of weird like that, and because I hadn’t even had chance to look at the sea all week until that last morning when it was raining. But mostly because I’m a smoker, and it was either stare at the sea or just stand about outside the hotel looking at the wet road. I chose the sea.
I might be back at work on Monday. I really can’t recall if booked the day off. I’ll need to find out before then.

Good Morning AFF!!!!!!!!! 

Just so you guys know, I’m not closing the Halloween Party. If you guys are late, it doesn’t matter. Either save them for next year or post them anyways. Not gonna shame you for being late, we are authors and we all know that authors never finish anything in time.

... How to tell when you'retoo tired to actually post a new chapter on here?  When you add the chapter to a oneshot and don't even realize it until you're actually awake again...  You win this round, exhaustion, you win this round…
On a positive note, it's all corrected...  I hope...

I went to a funeral service today for a young man who died unexpectedly. He was one of the truly good souls. I was honored to know him, and the world is a sadder place without him. May his god hold him close, until we all meet again.

I totally intended on writing a Halloween story but then Tahn put a plunny in my head and I ended up writing a Backdoor Politics short story. *shakes fist at Tahn* Maybe I’ll get to that Halloween story today. *sigh*
