Cat alien and a mating hunt m/m

Older slash fic about a hunt that takes place on a planet with these cat like alien creatures for their mating season and people actually sign up because there is some kind of prize if you make through or you are chosen by one as a mate. Our main guy gets picked and is pursued. Anyone? It is prob like 10 years oldat least.

This sounds quite a bit like Kari Gregg’s “An Unauthorized Field Guide to the Hunt.”  Considering that is published, not sure if there is something unpublished that is what you have in mind, but this novella is about the right age.
