Edward_or_Ford Posted December 29, 2022 Report Posted December 29, 2022 I’m writing a story that is being told in 1st-person POV. The narrator is a teenager, and he will engage in many experiences over the course of the story. At various times, he will be drunk, smoking weed, or on ecstasy. I’ve been drunk (though it’s been many years), so I should be able to channel what that feels like, but could always stand to see others’ takes on it. And I have no personal experience at all with getting high. Yeah, I’ve googled “how does it feel to be high”, but that only goes so far. Does anyone know of any good examples in fiction (that you can link to) of a POV character narrating while inebriated in these ways, feeling the effects in real time with the story? Perhaps you’ve tried to write in this way yourself? If you can think of any, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks! Quote
