Old pokemon fic, son of Bruno starts adventure with Absol

I used to read this one about seven to ten years ago, at best guess. The main character was gifted a dark type specifically because of its weakness to Bruno’s fighting mastery to present more of a challenge for the son. The Absol went into heat if I’m remembering rightly. The author’s name was Magi K(something) and the site search isn’t much help.
