It was about two boys who befriend each other when one of them moves to town with his family. The kid who moves to town is a redhead and primarily takes care of his siblings when his mom isn’t around. The other is an outcast who lives with his grandparents because his parents died in a murder-suicide. He was in a band and music is pretty much his only thing. The two boys become friends and gradually over time fall in love. In the end, the band takes off and what not. I can’t remember what the name of the story was or who the author was and I really want to reread it. If anyone remembers it, it would be really helpful. Quote
