I just had one small suggestion, and I don't know how this fits into all the restructuring you're doing... but I would love the ability to jump to a specific page in the list of stories, instead of just the 'next' and 'end' options. It may not be as big of an issue once all the stories are moved to their subcats, because then the lists will be much shorter, but I still think it would be a big help.
