Correct sub-category for a cartoon fic at all flexible?

Recommended Posts

Now I realise what I'm asking might yield a plain 'no' answer but it's worth a shot.

Simply put, I've written a Dofus fic and want to place it in the Wakfu sub-category on cartoon AFF because there is no Dofus one. I know how that'll sound if you're unfamiliar with the shows but hear my case.

The two are set in the same universe and Dofus can be said to be a prequel of sorts to Wakfu, a few hundred years before it in the timeline with some recurring characters that appear in both shows. If I had to guess I'd say 90%+ of people who've seen Wakfu will have also watched Dofus and in many places discussion of one entails discussion of the other since they are closely linked. I feel like by placing it in the "Other" category a lot of people who potentially will want to read it but check only the Wakfu category will miss it which sucks for both me, who wants to maximise readership, and them who might miss out on something they'd like.

It's fine if the answer is a simple no but it was worth a shot rather than just putting my fic in the Wakfu category in potential breach of the guidelines and hoping for the best. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I couldn't find any other sub-forum that would be relevant to this sort of question.

Many thanks, mirandaships

What most people do, if there is no category for their work, they place it in misc with [fandom name] in the summary. Just like that, in brackets or parentheses. That is, if they don't come in here and ask for the category in the first place, which is what should be done. By having the name of the fandom enclosed like that, it tells ME that I need to create a category for the story.
