Eventually, some experimenting probably happened, and as Jaune was the most available male, well, things go a certain way. A few years later, as he goes to Beacon, he is as everyone sees him: awkward and dorky. But someone winds up making an unbelievable discovery: Jaune has a skill. Put him in a fight, in a classroom, at a party, on the street, anywhere, really, and he's the same awkward guy. But there's a place where he can actually live up to his wildest flirtatious boasting: with his face between a girl's thighs. Any kind of normal teenager romantic thing, he'll still be the same, especially in public, whether it's holding hands or kissing or going on a date. Other sexual stuff, he's okay at (not so much with actual penetration, his sisters usually considered that a line they shouldn't cross), but shove his face in a vagina, and he's the master. Leaves them seeing stars and too weak to stand. Who finds this out and how, totally up in the air. Whether as a normal progression of a relationship, or a drunken "try it out," or someone has an anime type fall on him while he's asleep/unconscious/too dazed and confused to realize what's going on and reacts by instinct.
