He decided that three minutes was the perfect amount of time for sex to last. First off, three minutes doesn't sound like a very long time. I can't imagine anyone being happy with that, especially not a woman. And secondly, how can one amount of time be perfect for everyone? Each individual has their own preferences. Anything more than a half-hour really seems tiring. But like I said, that's just from what I know from books/friends/movies, not from experience.
