Guest Scereyaha Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 My story "Acceptance" < avengers < marvel universe, has been hidden. In my disclaimer I disclaimed the whole marvel universe, avengers, science boyfriends, all the characters involved, and the fandom. Other than "Science boyfriends" or "avengers" I do not know what else "Fandom by name" could mean. Can we also observe that there is a character limit on the disclaimer, so if you want me to list every possible variant of TonyXBruce possible there is not room? This is especially frustrating because I just started posting the story and LINKING to it on other sites, and right now is the only time when I normally get hits, when a story is fresh. I am posting this story to generate feedback on my writing, and that is being frustrated by this at the worst possible time, despite that I have done everything asked of me. Not only is it not visible here, but all the links I put up to it just show that it's been removed. I am trying to get people to take a serious look at my writing and this is the most detremental thing to that that could happen. I sent an e-mail, but I do not know how often they are checked, and I do not have internet often, and do not know when I will be able to be on next. I started posting this story at this very particular time for a very specific reason, so it being invisible at this time is kind of wrecking that. I hope this can be resolved quickly. Quote
RogueMudblood Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 E-mails are responded to within 24 hours. As stated in the FAQ here, if your disclaimer does exceed the character limit, then you should put the full disclaimer at the top of chapter one, and in the disclaimer field, type "See full disclaimer chapter one." Disclaimers are not counted against the author's note word count. The links should not show that the story has been removed but they should bring up a page showing that the story is hidden, which is a different matter entirely. "Science boyfriends" is internet slang, and is not actually a fandom here. If your story is only including the Avengers as represented in the movie, then the disclaimer should read: "I do not own The Avengers, or any of the characters from it. I do not make any profit from this work of fiction." Quote
