midnightphoenix
I'm trying to write my Naruto fanfiction, and I plan on having an Itachi/OC pairing as one of the various pairings in the story. My question is, does anyone know of any resources that I can research so that I can properly write Itachi, and not have him be glaringly OOC? Or do you have any tips that helped you with a story that you were writing with him in it? Anything would be appreciated! Thanks!

Um, well, if it's AU then he is going to be a little OOC, but my best suggestion would be to just keep his personality the same. I don't mean make him a crazed maniac or anything, but the aloofness and indiffernce that he carries should probably stay with him. But also, it depends on the story. My Itachis are OOC, but parts of them are IC. You know, he's the type of guy that doesn't question the things that he chooses to do or anything like that. I'd be willing to help if you need me. Good luck!
Guest Beautiful Flaw
I haven't written Itachi into a het pairing before, only with Deidara, in which he was aloof, indifferent, and confident maybe to the point of arrogance. I think I also made him a bit more nasty, as a person, than we have seen him in canon though. I'd say, think of all the character traits you associate with Itachi, and be sure to demonstrate them as best you can. I can't see him being the loving type, or at least, not the type to show it.
