Old Writer, New Here.

Hey there everyone. I just came across this website a few days ago, and on a random whim started to put my old work up on it. Now, I realize this is going to make me sound old, but I wrote this kinda stuff a lot back in the day. I had a few different handles, amongst them La Parka Girl, Angel Empress, and Take Me New. I started back in 1998, and I concentrated mostly on yuri stuff with a heavy dosage of romance. (It was mostly what I was known for, doing works closer to a modern day romance novel than just quick fuck fics.)

Anyways, I'm slowly in the process of uploading my collective works here, and thought I'd drop into the forums and say hello.

Although when I read your profile I had to chuckle when you said you were and "older" writer... You will have to excuse me as there are several on here that were born in the '60's and '50's... So what does that make us? Ancient? ROFL!!!!!!!!!!

I always smile when I hear someone who is under 30 say they are "old" (of course when I was that age, I felt that too) you always feel anyone younger than you is "wet behind the ears". I don't FEEL old yet...I'm 14 trapped in a 44 year old body. I am planning to write until I am 100, now when I am 100, I will feel old. Until then...Nah!

I still have work I wrote back in 1976! So how old do you feel now?

I welcome the writer who is seasoned. The older writer has a lot to add to any genre. It is hard to find a place anywhere on the net who allows “mature” writing. It seems that there is a glut of underage reader/writers who thinks that all there is to writing is a plethora of angst, a few swear words and some sexual content and viola! A viable fic.

Don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of talented young writers out there, but what seems to get it here is yaoi with cheap sex scenes and bad grammar.

I am glad that male on male is getting attention, but if that is all we have to read, I weep.
