Juno Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Weather update: 9-14 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Here's to hoping that school's closed! Quote
cu-kid9 Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 I think we're only supposed to get a few inches of snow tonight. But they keep saying that and all we're getting is this rain! I guess I shouldn't complain since it's staying fairly warm. Last night we had fog that was so dense you couldn't even see six feet in front of you. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 we're under a flood watch/warning (keeps flipping depending on whether or not it's actually RAINING at the moment), severe thunderstorm watch. And then....starting Wednesday... temps will drop, and we're supposed to get some flurries, maybe. Quote
cu-kid9 Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 Yeah we had flooding...had to take a detour home tonight and one of my co-workers stayed in town with me because the road leading to her house out in the country became lost beneath a lake. Luckily we just got rain -we were sandwiched between the snowstorms to the north and the tornadoes to the south. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 *snickers* I was in the twister band...... Weather sure did get wild for awhile, lost power for a few hours, and it's not done yet. Still have a MAJOR squall line headed right at me. Quote
Juno Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 It's snowing like no other right now, but thankfully school's closed. It's a little weird, because there are a ton of citites in my area that have declared snow emergencies... I didn't think it was going to be that bad, but I guess it is... Quote
cu-kid9 Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 I heard last night that the Chicago and Rockford areas were supposed to get 10 and 16 inches, respectively. So, if anyone was in that, I can see why they would declare snow emergencies. We're still under a flood warning here. *sigh* Is it just me, or has this winter been freakin' weird? Quote
