They were supposed to be bred specifically for Voldemort's army or something. I kind of recall that the ministry went and killed all of the kids... but lo and behold Harry Potter finds out he is the son of Snape, who raped his mom. Now he is one of the "serpent children" with a connection to Voldemort. Now he and Snape have to try and hide this from others for Harry's safety. Some of the details might be wrong... but that's the gist. It's been years since I've read it. Kind of thought it was called "Serpents Children" or something... but I can never find it. Please help! But it was my favorite story, and I would love to read it again. I just wish my memory of it was better. Please please please help me find it!
