Snape is called upon to rape Hermione but he can't do it, so he apparates away with her revealing himself as a spy. He then blames her and tells her she was too ugly to rape. She begins to self harm. I don't remember much more except that Snape really loves Hermione and was ashamed of his reaction to her. They end up falling in love.
