Guest DarkAvenger Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 We have been kindly shown by a member part of what needed to be done to fix the issues with stories not showing up immediately at the top of the latest pages. With that information, the coding was relatively easy to modify to fit what they showed us. As such, the site coding will now organize your stories in the latest lists and sections by the last date AND TIME you added a chapter. Sincere thanks to the member who helped us out and we hope that all members will enjoy the fact that it has been fixed. For now, we have provided you with proof that it is fixed in the form of showing you the time that your story was posted according to the server. All stories already in the database will display 00:00:00 as the time until a chapter has been added to them. Please take this in stride and accept it. At some point in the future, the time will be taken off of the public listings so that it looks, to the public, like it used to. But for now, we thought you'd enjoy the ability to actually SEE what we have done for once. Enjoy the fix and we hope that you understand we are attempting to serve you better in this fashion. Thank you! -- ~Dark Avenger Moderator, Head Tech, & Site Owner
madlodger Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I just went and looked at the Harry/Draco section, one latest story had Updated [2007-08-27 22:37:01] showing, so it's working. Pretty cool, I like it. Does it show a user's local time or the AFF's?
Guest DarkAvenger Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 It shows the server time, so whatever Nexcess's timezone is.
Acal Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 It doesn't always work, a lot of the time I still see 00:00:00 as the date meaning its not registering, and sometimes stories when a new chapter is added DONT go all the way to the top of the first page
DemonGoddess Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 This is a problem we are aware of, and it does not occur in all the archives.
