Jadwin Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Back during NaNo, I discovered a wonderful thing called word wars. For those who don't know, they're just a chat room in which for 15 minutes at a time, everyone shuts up, with the goal of getting the highest word count in the room, followed by 15 minutes of chatter. After that, the cycle starts again. Does anyone know if there are any places active that still do this? All of my old haunts are dead, and I'd love to increase my word count, and they help immensely. Guest Zyx Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 I think it's, just like nanowrimo, putting quantity over quality which is foolish fools >_> Story I'm working on now is 3000 words after two months work, but it's gold >_> well, it's actually three days work spread out over two months xD Quote
shinigamiinochi Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 I did nanowrimo and succeeded. yes, quality is important, but my nano work, Solstice, is my favorite thing I've ever written and I'm still going at it. 110,000 words strong and according to my small fan base, it doesn't suck! Now, that, my friends, is an accomplishment, though I'm sure in the month I wrote the first two chapters, my friends were annoyed that they had to jump through hoops to get my attention. Quote
