Guest Agaib Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Hey, does anyone out there either know or know how to figure out on what date the winter solstice fell on in 1836? I know this is a random question but I thought it might fit into aimless babble... EDIT: In the northern hemisphere Quote
Guest Adara Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I looked it up on Yahoo Agaib, and I think the date was, December 20, 1836. Quote
ZombieDuke Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Thanks, that helps a lot! Is a portal to another world opening soon or something? Quote
Guest echtrae Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Since he's asking about 1836, I think you've missed your chance to grab that particular portal. ZD you'll have to wait for the next one. Quote
Guest Agaib Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 No portal, I just enjoy giving characters birth dates of moderate astronomical significance Quote
Nanaea Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 I can appreciate that, Agaib. I'm currently working on a story that is heavily tied to the phases of the moon, so I figured out what months/year(s) the story took place during and then searched for the dates of the full and new moon phases during that time frame. ZombieDuke Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Aaaah. Everything comes together now Thanks! Quote
