ZombieDuke Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 *pats XP* I don't have Vista, I'll probably wait until Service Patch 2 comes along until I upgrade, but what about you? Quote
Guest Alien Pirate Pixagi Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Eh, I don't trust brand spankin' new tech, especially from windows. It's always so buggy. Hell, I've still put off getting the 360 due to my fear of a buggy game system. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Hubby and I are thinking about getting a new computer anyway, so there's really no point in upgrading this one. If we keep this one around, then maybe... but I seriously doubt it. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I won't be upgrading to it. I'll be getting new hardware soon, but Ill be loading Linux on it. Besides, I've personally had enough with feeding the Micro$oft machine. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I have it - I hate it - but I'm getting used to it. I got a new computer and I really didn't have a choice. Did you know that most of the new computers that they've been putting out lately can't support Vista, but they put it on there anyway? I had to shell out a couple hundred more bucks just to get a computer that would work.... sad - thanks Microsoft for fucking me up the wallet - I really appreciate it. Quote
NinjaGaijin Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 The hardware demands are too high. Not now; maybe later... Quote

When Vista was coming out, there was a massive sale of PC's with XP at London Drugs because people were trying to get the machines before Vista was put on it. Quote
EveKnight75 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I bought my laptop about 2 years ago and it's still working great. I have no intention of upgrading or replacing it anytime soon. The desktop has been around for 6 years. After I fixed it last year, it's been running smoothly. My sister and I agree that if we buy a new one, we'll avoid Microsoft. My mom knows nothing about computers but even she can tell that Microsoft needs a swift kick in the ass. That's how bad it is. Quote
NinjaGaijin Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 The thing about today's industrial economic system is they scorn the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' principle. We had Windows 2000--it was good--but them software-making folks say you people need to improve, here's XP. XP comes. It was also good--but now they say again you need to improve, here's Vista. The thing is, the only improvement that matters to me back in the transition from 2000 to XP was just visuals. Vista looks great--but I fear that's the only improvement. Quote
