During their date, Draco asks Hermione to marry him and they elope. When they get to the hotel room he bites her and turns her into a vampire. Then Draco goes and kills his father. When Hermione gets to the castle she's left alone by herself while Draco only talks to her when he wants to have sex. Then Ginny is also turned and is taken by Draco's rival, Blaise Zabini, as his bride.
